If money wasn't an issue...
Random question here but as someone still in the process of deciding upon a surgeon, location etc. I am curious...If money was NO ISSUE whatsoever, would you have done anything differently? Different surgeon perhaps? Going a bit further for your opp? This is coming from my perspective of someone who feels they have found the right surgeon but is having to compromise as a result of him being well over £1000 more than the average surgeon, and due to the additional travelling expenses that would be involved.

If money was no object... No i wouldn't do anything different, i was s o happy with my surgeon and trusted him straight away. I did see others but new it was him i wanted to do the job, the price didn't come into it!

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
I paid over the average for my surgeon, it was so important for me to be fully confident and fully trust him as much as I did, if you feel you have found the right surgeon for you it's worth paying the extra in my opinion xx

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
Money was no issue when I had my BA, naivety was so I couldn't have done things differently monetary wise and my BA wasn't cheap anyway!... Educating myself more in the procedure I wanted? Yup I wish I would have been a whoooooole lot richer in that department.
Re: If money wasn't an issue...
Cookie you've summed it up for me, that's exactly what I would say! My first ba was more expensive than my second, so paying top price for a ba certainly didn't guarantee me a better result. My naivety cost me alot emotionaly and money wise. Reseach and advice alot from this forum were the things (along with a good surgeon ha ha) that got me there in the end. x

Cookie and Red, I'm sorry to read about your experiences. Red, I hope you don't mind me asking but what happened that you had to have a re-op?

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
I haven't had my BA but I'd say nope. My chosen surgeon is £1000 more than what transform quoted me but I'd rather pay more to have the best & be 100% confident with my surgeon. X

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
I was given a low profile implant which was very wrong for me, I had no projection what so ever and looked flatter than when I wore gel-bras. When I embarked on my search for my 2nd ba the surgeons I saw all said that a low profile was used normaly on girls who already had quite abit of boobage-I was as flat as a boy so they were a big no-no. I was very naive when I had my first ba- I didnt try any sizes and no mention of profiles were mentioned ( I didnt realise there were different profiles till afterwards when I joined this forum). I also hadnt even thought of aftercare, so I was totaly alone when I thought I had a problem and was told I had to pay another £150 just for the surgeon to have alook. Even though it is exciting and you want your ba I would really take you time and have more consultations so you will be happy with your result. x

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
Newboobz, who have you decided to go with? I am in the same situation as you: the surgeon I like best so far quoted £5250 as opposed to £4125 with Transform (incl. transport).
Red: oh god. In my research, I have come across a few before and after pics where the afters look surprisingly flat. I don't know much about profiles, this is defintely something I will have to research more about because my chest has zero projection at the moment. I was hoping previously to have my surgery in March but I am going to put it back to maybe July because I really need more time to research and look around. Thank you so much for your help xx

Wouldn't change anything Hun x
LOVE my surgeon and how qualified & professional he is and is so nice & friendly but at the same time isn't afraid to tell me exactly how it is! My surgeon also specialises in Breast Reconstruction on the nhs so this also helped me In deciding to have my surgery with him :) Spire have been fantastic with me from my very first consultation and the hospital was lovely, staff are FAB!! Paid more then other companies like Transorm quoted me but never felt 100% confident in the other surgeons i saw x x x x x

Hi MissAlexa,
What a recommendation! I have just been researching your surgeon and he is very highly recommended by his patients. Do you have a picture trail I can take a peek at ? xx

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
It isnt so much money as travelling distance that gets to me. I just want something close to home. I dont want to be in pain in a hotel to unsettle myself getting back home on public transport and risk getting knocked etc to go back again the week after for aftercare x
Re: If money wasn't an issue...
I totally agree with Cookie, wish I was a little less naive and did more research!
I am happy with the results of my op but I have never been too happy with my surgeon and thought the care I got on the day and since my op has been very standard... I went with Transform! I didn't shop around as I just had it in my head that I wanted to go with them! Looking back now, why rush? I should have shopped about it but hey ho, you live and learn! Like I said I am very happy with my boobs it's just such a shame my experience of Transform hasn't been that positive! x

Re: If money wasn't an issue...
i done a lot of research but wish id found this place first ive wanted my boobs done since i was 19 and for the last 3 years have had a few consultations some paid for some not but i just didnt feel ready til the back end of last year and I had been reading about and met my surgeon a few times and also one of his patients before i decided on him and i did pay over the average but think that it has been worth it, the after care so far, even though its not been much has been great, my surgeon has called me so has the staff on the day that looked after me and i have had several emails from Arup (my surgeon) himself which I think is nice
I did go to see many companies but in the end decided to go with a private hospital xx
