Sleeping high up
Hi all, sleeping high up on lots of pillows is driving me mad, also sleeping on my back means I am really struggling to sleep at night cos I'm generally uncomfortable, my ps said before op I could sleep normally flat on back or on side as long as I was alternating sides, but I am thinking if I have a lot of swelling am I better sleeping tilted up to try and reduce this? Also I am scared to sleep on side (although I find this most comfy) incase my implants move x

Re: Sleeping high up
You don't have to sleep 'high up' hun.
As long as your head and shoulders are raised above your chest, that's all that's needed to help reduce the swelling, so maybe 1 pillow and a V-Pillow is plenty.
Don't worry about your implants moving whilst your on your side. They're a lot tougher than you think! Hugging your v-pillow helps that transition from back to side sleeping lots and a pair of soft bed socks, a soft flannel, or any pair of socks placed inbetween your boobs helps keep them supported too.
You'll be fine hun. If you've been given the all clear for side sleeping, then don't worry about it and enjoy your sleep. Xx

Re: Sleeping high up
How many days post op are you Hun? Usually after a couple of weeks you can sleep flatter without so many pillows. Sleeping on your side is when YOU feel comfy there's no set time rule for this I've only just started sleeping on my side and sometimes if I've slept at a funny angle I get morning boob or achiness in them. !
