How does a surgeon decide fir you?
Just thinking back to my consultation
1) he asked me what size I wanted to be, I said a d ( I now know a d can be anything so why did he ask this?)
2) I tried on 410, 460 and 475, 475 were way too big but I couldn't tell a difference at the time between 410 and 460 so he said 460 then! Why did he choose the bigger?
I saw mr m at transform and I've only heard good thing about him but I was just wondering what you girls think and how your other consultations went.

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
I had Mr M, and he to have me a few choices, I was undecided about 460 and 525, but when I asked his opinion he said "it was up to me"
If you're not certain you should speak with someone at Transform.
Sounds like you're having pre-BA nerves though, which is VERY normal!! Unfortunatly there is no garantees what size youll be afterwards. ;-)

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
I would think that because the majority (not all) of people do regret not going bigger once they've had their BA then he suggested the 460cc. If you aren't sure, you can go over it again with your surgeo at another consultation, or just before the op
Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
My surgeon didnt give me options.....
Yes I tried on lots of implants but he told me quite matter of factly that to achieve the look I was hoping for that 365cmh implants were what I needed and I didn't question him...,, he was spot on.,,,.
A week after surgery and my breast have settled beautiful and are already looking exactly how I wanted..,,,
I had the same pre op jitters but our surgeons do this all day everyday..... They have seen so many pre and post op boobs that they know what works.... And what looks best,
I would trust your surgeon sweetie and just go with what he recommends for your body xx

I guess I'm just scared that my mother inlaw had 460's with him and is massive, she swares blind she was tiny before her first BA and had 330 unders (pip) then she had these 460 overs. She is Not happy and currently saving for her 3rd ba. Not very many people regret going bigger x

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
Are you and your mother in law a similar build?
You have to remember that everyone is different..... I was petrified of being too big.... I showed my surgeon pics and said I was aiming for a dd..... However he advised me that to achieve that look I would be better with the 365 implant which would probably take me to an e cup..... It sounded huge but I put my trust in him and I couldn't be happier....
Mine felt enormous to start with but a week on I love them.... They feel perfect for my frame and I wouldn't change them
I hope this helps xxx

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
I'm of the opinion that if a surgeon can't state the size required to give you look you hope for then he's not the surgeon for you babe. You're paying for their expertise, so surely that should include them knowing what is best for you???
A lot of girls go to surgeons requesting 'cup sizes' and a surgeon will give an opinion based on their perception of a cup size. This could be smaller or larger than your perception so if you wanted to be sure you were both reading from the same page then taking a picture into the consultation with you to show what look you're after would be so much more beneficial.
If you take your time 'pre-op' hun to ensure you're getting as close as possible to what you want 'post-op' then hopefully you shouldn't be disappointed.
You should always take into account too lovely that although some many have boob greed early post-op, most are happy once they're settled and in wires, only a few still suffer boob greed and after surgery if you think they're a little smaller than you wanted, its easy to go bigger when you next need to have a re-op, but if you feel they're a little to big, it would require further scarring from an uplift to reduce the breast size when you next need a re-op.
Take you time sweetheart and be sure you feel happy and confident and have your surgeon decide what is best for you... If they're indecisive then maybe ask yourself if this is the right one for know hun. Xx

Yes we are the same Hight and rib cage size she is just more of a size 12 top and bottom and I'm a 10. It does help a lot hearing everyone elses opinions just scared and wished I'd asked more questions. I've only got a week left and was assured I would be able to change my mind about size right up until the op x

If you feel this is more than just the jitters babe then you still have time to go back and see the surgeon.
Size concerns really is one of the biggest worries for women just before their BA though, so give it some thought over the weekend lovely and if you're not convinced your confident with the size chosen then go back and see your surgeon. Xx

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
I think it also depends on how much of your own breast tissue you have....
I had quite a lot pre op so I am probably bigger than a girl who has the same size implants but none of their own tissue before hand.
Its so hard to imagine how they are going to be pre op..... And being nervous is totally normal.... Just be strong and remember the reasons you are doing this :)

There's so much more than just breast tissue that determines size though, such as overall body fat, the shape of your rib cage, the shape of your boobs pre-BA, the cleavage you have to start with, whether or not you've had a big weight gain/loss or a pregnancy. All of these factors and more are what makes each of us different and why there is such great variations in resulting sizes even from those women with the same stats and same implant/profile. This is why its best never to compare with anybody else and expect to have their results because the chances are you won't. So if the concerns are a little more than you feel pre-BA jitters your surgeon would be the best surgeon to discuss this with. Xx
Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
Thanks cookie, I value your opinion and I have no doubt he would be able to tell me the size required for the look I suggested to him it's just I don't know if we're singing of the same hym sheet. Is what he see's as a d the same as me? I couldn't see him again until 2 days before my ba, which I Feel is pointless when I can discuss it on the day. I will be taking photo's with me this time.
I don't feel I have time to view other options now and surly I would lose all or most of my money, but I am deffinately sure I want my BA.
I didn't realize most girls dont have boob greed once in wires.
With regards to going too big then needing an uplift if i wanted to go smaller this is why I chose the 410 x

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
If you called the clinic and requested the surgeon take a few sizes into surgery for you and you take pictures with you on the day and are confident your surgeon will choose wisely for you then you'll be just fine Vickey
If you look at the majority of the women on the forum they are mostly very early post-op. their boobs are still settling and when they hit the stage when their boobs start to drop and they start losing the full upper pole they had to start with its then that boob greed mostly kicks in and why we hear it so much on here. But.... If you move on and read the same women after having their fitting and wearing wired bras helping them gain back that full upper pole look they like, you'll find the majority of them are happy hun
You'll be fine sweetheart. 410 is a good sized implant and if your surgeon thinks its the best moor you and you feel confident with that then I'm sure you'll be very happy hun. Xx

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
For my first consultation all I said is I want to be as big as I can within being in proportion to the rest of my body, he did Loads of measurements ( height, bmi, rib cage, collar bone to crease and nipple etc) and said ill be using 270-300 cc ( decided on 300 now). From this site and speaking to other girlies I Redmond ill get a D cup which I more than happy with. Surgerys in 12 days so I shall get a picture trail going and show everyone how its going  xx

Re: How does a surgeon decide fir you?
you will be fine. my boobs looked soooooo small straight after my ba and i had a 360cc which for my sized frame is big. i had so much swelling between the breasts at the sternum it looked like i had one boob . when my surgeon came into see me he promised when the swelling started going down they would get bigger and as im under the muscle once that relaxes i will prob get bigger again. i had the biggest sized implant they could have fitted in me but they tried the 380cc too but he just coukdnt get that in xx
