Went for my first consultation with Transform and was totally unprepared.

It was much quicker than I expected, seemed a bit rushed to be honest. My patient co-ordinator said she'd make me an appointment with a surgeon for next week and barely touched on any other subject.

Everything I should have asked slipped my mind like the surgeon. I'm in Scotland and reading a few reviews on here for Transform there is a surgeon I'd prefer. Is it fine for me to ask for a specific surgeon? I don't want it to put my consultation any further, have been putting this off too long.

All the questions I should have asked only came to my mind when I'd left. Please someone tell me I'll get another chance to discuss things with my co-ordinator, she didn't mention if I'd be seeing her again.

Hey Hun you can always go back and speak to her again. Did she give you a phone number or email you could contact her on to ask more questions? And yes you can ask for a specific surgeon. Don't worry hun, most of see unprepared for our first consultation! Just do as much research on here as possible before your next consultation and you'll be a pro :) xx

Morning hun

I was exactly the same in my consultation. All questions went out the window. I was more interested in squeezing the display implants on the desk! lol

The best thing would be to write all your questions down and take them with you. Give your pcc a call and ask her for an appointment with your surgeon of choice. They won't have a problem with it at all (i think you should still see the other one too just for comparison and a second opinion). They will let you see as many surgeons as you like hun. Also ask her if you can see her again on the same day before you go in to see the surgeon so you can ask any questions you forgot to ask. Most pcc are accommodating because this is their commision on the line so they will want to keep you sweet. Most are happy for you to come and see them as many times as need be or at least call or email them. Thats what they are there for babe, to answer questions and make this whole process as smooth as possible so don't feel funny about contacting her. My pcc is stillin contact with me now and I'm 7 weeks post op!

Let us know how you get on hun xx

Definitely ring her and request the surgeon you want. I was going to but ended up being offered the surgeon I wanted before I asked :) as for the questions, write them down and save them for the surgeon. The Pcc is only really there to arrange dates and prices.xx

Thanks everyone for the replies. I have her number so will call her Monday, and have a list of questions ready, just don't want my consultation put back any further.

I was just like you queenyk - have been trying 300cc rice boobs and couldn't believe that the ones on the desk were all larger cc but looked smaller than my rice ones lol - think I'll be requesting a larger cc haha x

I had a great consultation was in there for and hour and 20 mins lol and asked thousands, well what seemed like thousands of questions tried in 6 lots of diff implants and came to decide on 380cc implants

But when i met the surgeon he decided 360cc would be best for me, I uasked for the surgeon I have as I had read up so much on him and his "9-5" job is breast reconstructions xx

Or go on the transform website, look at the surgeons and do some research. I think everyone's mind goes blank. My co ordinator was helpful but not pushy which I liked. You can have consultations with as many surgeons as you like. Best wishes to you, and write the questions down, take pics of what u want to achieve. I think there is a sticky on here with info to help x Hug

kareeny - i tried making rice boobs but they just looked like lumpy bags of rice! Just had my Consultation - Please help! 557141

Good advice from Jakki - go online and look for pictures of the type of look you're going for to show to the surgeon. Its better to do that than ask for a particular cup size becasue his perception of cup sizes might be different to yours. Sounds like you've got 300cc in you mind but once you're there, he will try on diffrerent sized implants in a bra with you until you are happy with the one you want. You'll probably end up wanting bigger than 300cc lol what size are you now and what are you hoping to be? xx

Will definitely be making a list, already noting some things down to put on it. I remember seeing the sticky on here for consultations before I went and thought, I won't need that, I know what I want to ask but as Jakki said my mind went all blank.

Am a 32A hoping to be a DD (I like how Amy Childs looked before she had her second implants - she said the first ones were saggy after they'd dropped but I thought they looked natural) so probably will need more than 300 now I've being admiring everyone's avi pics and seeing they've all been over 300 and have the look I'd love! The PCC's are pretty much the first port of call and are Sales people really (with all due respect) xx

They will have nothing to do with your operation xx the important person is the Surgeon xx

This is the time that you CAN make all the demands, ie before you pays your money  once they have your money it gets a little harder xx

Call on Monday and ask to see whichever surgeons you want xx I'm sure they will accommodate you xx

I said I wanted to be a Large C/D ! I am am E ! But look smaller in clothes . Queenyk is right, everyone's perception of a cup size is different. The surgeon will look at your build etc. I actually stood in front of my surgeon and pulled my hand away from my breast to show him the size / projection I wanted( mad but true) and we went from there. And I am pleased x a good surgeon will listen, be thorough and honest with opinion x Good luck babe x

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone that replied. Was a big help x

Just had my consultation with the surgeon today and it was much less scary than I thought it would be. Only lasted about 40 minutes and he said I was well read-up on everything - was thanks to this forum haha.

Had a note of all the things I wanted to ask although he went through most of them himself anyway, and he thanked me for trying out the rice test (I actually took them in to show him lol) which cut a lot of time trying on all the different implants. Am going with 380cc :)

Am now booked in for January - can't wait :) Thanks everyone xxx

Congrats hun. I would always suggest having a few consultations with more than one surgeon and clinic, just to make sure you have the perfect surgeon for you. It may be that the first one you see is the one you go back to. But before you hand over all the money I would make 100% sure

I have to say my pcc was amazing! She had had a BA with the surgeon i wanted 8 weeks prior to me seeing her! She even let me see her boobs and have a squeeze to see how they felt!! Bless her!! They looked amazing! She gave me her direct work mobile number/ office number and out of hours number too. Se even picture messaged me the details of my implant on the cui chart when i queried the profile!!
I suppose each pcc has their own style but i just clicked with mine! She even popped in after i woke up from surgery to congratulate me!! (with a cup of tea lol)
I would hate to feel rushed, deffo go again and write everything down hunni!! Its a massive decision!! If you still not happy go again and again until you are.......it's their job....and commission!! xxxx

I agree with misf1 babe.

Don't worry that you've booked your date, it won't hurt to see another surgeon just to sure you, have absolutely made the right decision for yourself.

Congrats on booking your date hun. Don't forget to post your surgery details in the 'Calendar Entries' section of the forum (not the actual calendar) so we can all send on our good luck wishes on your special day yahoo xx
