Reddish and tender boob???
Hiya. I've been feeling a bit tender on my right breast and just checked in the mirror ad it's rather pink/red. Is this normal. I'm a bit concerned. It's quite warm and when I run my finger across is it hurts a bit x

Re: Reddish and tender boob???
Its normal for the tenderness and for your new boobs to feel warm after after surgery babe, especially just 1 week after like yourself... But if the redness has just suddenly appeared and only that breast is notably warm it would probably be best to give the clinic number a call. There's no panic, so don't freak babe lol. It's just always best to check these symptoms so early after surgery. Did you get a number you could call after being discharged hun?
Re: Reddish and tender boob???
I think it has just appeared. It's quite warm and I've been asleep on the sofa for a few hours feeling slightly sick. I think I need to ring the clinic and take my temperature. Is it anything above 38 degrees? I know there a sickness bug about so hopefully it's that. Why is it always me?! After hating them yesterday to loving them today it's typical x

Just rang the clinic. Been sick aswell but temp is fine. Been told to take painkillers, use ice pack and ring back tomorrow. The pinkish red is spreading near my armpit now :(. I'm now going to try and sleep and fingers crossed it'll be ok in the morning. Luckily I have my post op tomorrow with the nurse. Thankyou for the advice cookie x

Re: Reddish and tender boob???
Hiya. I feel a bit better but very very angry and disappointed with the lack of knowledge the nurse i saw had regarding implants, she even admitted it was all new to her and that she had only been there a week and didn't know anything with regards to what is and isn't normal. She rang the riverside for me as I told her I wasn't just going to go home with an "I don't know what it is" attitude. I've been prescribed another dose of antibiotics and also some co-dyramol which is helping the pain already. I've got to go back in Monday to see if there has been any improvement, I am not holding out much faith though as I think I know more about implants than her which is absolutely disgusting. I left the clinic crying and very disheartened as I am no better knowledge or reassurance wise. My right one is still quite pink and sore but in Monday they are going to try and get hold of mr meleagros to see what he thinks. He's in my area on Thursday so I will be making sure I stress to the nurse I need to see him as I don't feel she can help me.
Other than that I'm ok lol xx

Awww I'm so sorry to read you've had such a bad experience with the clinic today on a positive note if it is an infection of some sort at least its being treated with the anti-bs and by the time Monday comes hopefully your boob and you will be feeling much better babe. Xx
Re: Reddish and tender boob???
Fingers crossed. It's a same because she was a really nice lady, just completely useless lol. So glad I've got the co-dydramol as my breasts both feel very painful today. I keep thinking all sorts. They're so hard :(. I'll keep you updated xx

Re: Reddish and tender boob???
Don't worry about how hard they are babe. That's normal for your stage in your recovery  you're on anti-bs now, so even if you saw your own surgeon and he suspected infection that would probably be what he'd have prescribed for you too, so you've done what you can now sweetie. Just make sure you're eating as healthily as possible to ogive your body the best chance of fighting anything off too if there is anything there as well as drinking lots of fluids Xxx
