Hi girls, under both boobs and around the outside of them look red, they are sore and my chest is warm, however they have been warm since I had them. Not sure if its macom bra rubbing on them or not,I had periareolar incisions can't see much as have nipples covered plus the band still. Is this normal ???? Xxx

Maybe try leaving your bra off for an hour beej and see if the redness and heat from your boobs is still there?

If the redness stays and they're hot to the touch it might be best to give your surgeon a call or the hospital number you might have been given upon discharge? and have them checked over lovely. xx

I sooo hope they ok. I will try that, I did drive today because I really had to, it did hurt a bit maybe I've overdone it again, but can't understand the sore feeling. I've got my first post op tomorrow so fingers crossed everything will be ok, I gotta bad feeling about this though. :( xxx

Stay positive beej Hug .... the driving may well have caused the soreness babe, it's your bodys way of telling you you might be overdoing it a little too much.... The redness wouldn't be due to you driving though.

Its great you have a post-op appointment tomorrow so your clinic nurse/surgeon can just give you the once over anyway. xx

Thankyou Hug .fingers crossed hey. Took the bra off for a hour, it's a little less red I think however the lighting in my house is soooo bad it's hard to see properly. I love my macom bra felt lost without it for that hour!!! I will update you tomorrow xxxxx

Hello girls.... Good news the nurse said they look great and no sign of any problems, and the incision stitch around my reduced areolars have closed up extremely well so phew.... My areolars/ nipples are sooooo shiny though you can see reflections in them!!! shrug she said she hasn't seen that before she thought they had a plastic coating over them and we spent 20 minutes trying to pick it off... We came to the conclusion what we picked off was skin lol.... See what happens now they are free from bandages etc... My boobs look amazing ( well to me anyways) I will update my picture trail over the weekend so you can take a peek and give me your opinions.

I can shower now and I dont have that big sticky band on... Just got to try and remove the stickyness tonight and i only have to wear steri trips if and when I want, just incase my nips rub on bra basically.

So I'm one happy Beej today xxxx

Good news beej! Reddish , warm and sore.... 727935

Your areolas are probably shiny from the swelling babe, mine were too, as it settles they'll go back to normal.

A little tip to help promote healing hun, is after your shower, use a hair dryer on cool setting to ensure the incisions are completely dry, then try if you have time laying on your back with the incisions exposed and the window open and let the fresh air get to the wounds for a while.... it really does help lovely.

So glad all went well for you though. xx

Glad to her it's all gone well beej! Now do try to take it easy :)

It's a relief to have the dressings off, isn't it! I was so itchy and red under there, even the nurse commented on the redness. As you know my PS told me to wear my steri strips for three months. The steri strips on their own are super comfy and breathable, plus they've kept my scars well protected. I always blow dry them on cool setting when I come out of the shower though xxx

Hi beej, yes when I take off my black bra I also see some skin flakes lol but not as much as you I guess. Bi-oil and palmers cocoa butter helped a lot Reddish , warm and sore.... 48411

I had so much flakey skin it was just gross, escpecially on black clothes Reddish , warm and sore.... 588945 I still have some flakey skin even though I exfoliate and moisturise.

I use a cotton flannel and it works as a gentle exfoliater it really helps
