I think I can feel implant moving Empty I think I can feel implant moving

Post by misf1 3rd June 2009, 5:22 pm

I've been healing really well and numbness seems to be going gradually. I don't know whether its just due to swelling or heat? But my left boob seems to have more swelling under my arm than the right and when I bend forward I think I can feel the implant move, but only in leftie. Sometimes it can be a pinching or clicking or rubbing sensation behind the nipple or glad. Has anyone else had this. It's really strange. Is it just the scar tissue?

It might be that some of the implant has settled, but not all and that's what you can feel moving.

It's still early days yet, have you been to see the nurse?

i had exactly the same and could feel it rubbing when i moved sometimes and also when i leant forward i thought it was going to fall out, it was my leftie too that was causing the problems but its fine now, it ony lasted about a week, i think its the swelling going down and them dropping into place, and we prob dont feel rightie doing the same as we usually use that side more so the same has probably happened when we are still a bit numb..thats my verdict anyway, so dont worry it will soon pass...

Only to have the stitches removed and she said they were healing nicely. You could be right Roxy. They dont really move at the moment and it isn't the whole implant that I can feel, just a little bit.

Thanks missmarie, you have put my mind at ease. It's probably still selling etc. Only just felt it today. It's not painful or anything just weird.

Sounds normal hun, takes a while for the implants to adhere to the pocket and you're still early days. I had some very strange feelings going on early post op too but it soon settled x

Think the other girls are right!!! The tissue, muscle and nerves need time to knit back together and settle into place. If you are over concerned though it is best to give them a call, to put your mind at rest. I had weird sensations too for a few weeks. Hug xx
