why cant you have a bath
hi so as i know we arent allowed a bath til we get the dressing stitches out but why is this, after my section i was allowed and was told the more baths the better
any info would be good thanks xx

It's to avoid infection hun, you really need to keep the incisions dry whilst the incisions are healing.

ah ok wonder why its fine to get the incisions on the c section wet xx

When you have a c section if you get an infection they can give you lots of antibiotics and clear up the infection, however when you have implants you have something which your body can reject put into you. If antibiotics don't clear the infection your body will reject the implants, this means further surgery to remove the implants then they need to rid your body of the infection and you would need further surgery to put them back in, this could be for one or both implants. Not only does it cost the company a lot of money to operate 3 times (which they don't want) I'm sure no one really wants to risk 3 surgeries in 6 months/a year. It's a lot of healing and lots of time off work etc

I think different surgeons say different things as I was told absolutely no showers but I can have a shallow bath whenever I want just don't get the bra or bandages wet.
