Re: January Buddies
Glad to hear it all went we silverpanther. Keep on with those painkillers. I have been stocking up!
I have emailed the results off to my pcc and nurse. so fingers crossed the anesthetist will accept them and be happy to go ahead. So fingers crossed I will know later today or tomorrow. Nothing like cutting it fine!!!! At least I haven't had time to think about the actual procedure and get nervous. I have been to busy running around trying to get this sorted. That's why I have been a little off the radar since my pre op. Didn't want to get too excited in case it all falls thru. Sorry of my life. haha xx

Re: January Buddies
Girls,
I've survived the first night, phew! I now know what the other girls mean about morning boobs, getting out if bed and moving....it's like the krypton factor I couldn't work out how to do it without using my chest muscles!!! Anyways all done & up.
I had 330 and 360 in the end as surgeon ordered wrong size, doh! I was flapping as was down for 310 & 340 but am pleased I had the slightly bigger ones. This forum is fantastic as I would have been in a right state otherwise but after reading that a few cc doesn't really make that much of a difference I was happy with going up slightly. Thanks girls & cookie for all your advice & help its been priceless x x x

Re: January Buddies
Silver panther & Mrs S...
My first night was fine as I was so tired I slept right through. I'm quite lucky as sleep on my back anyways but made sure I was propped up slightly. Getting out if bed this morning was interesting but once I was up it wasn't too bad. I just feel like I've been punched in the chest repeatedly and it feels tight but expected that. I've got anti inflammatories, paracetamol & anti bios. My m&s sports bra is lovely, very soft material so pleased with that. Make sure Mrs S you have a few zip up tops as that's what I'll mainly be living & sleeping in. I was cold last night so slept in one with bed socks & pj bottoms, my partner has seen it all now!
I had to take off my gown post op yesterday for photos, I forgot u had paper knickers on and when the gown came off I was like 'nooooooo' quickly pulled it over the knickers as they look more like paper apple catchers, not a good look lol!!
I'm just chilling out today on the sofa dozing when I need to. Luckily I'm at my parents as my partner back to work so they are looking after me.
I brushed my hand over my new boobs today whilst I was putting my top on, it felt so strange but great at the same time.
Really pleased I went for 330 and 360 now as once the swelling goes down they will be perfect.
Silver panther - how many days Post op are you now, is the discomfort easing?
Mrs S - are you excited? You'll have nothing to worry about I still didn't panic or cry even when on the table ready to get put under. I had butterflies don't get me wrong but all in all I was excited most of all. It feels like seconds you're out for and so worth it :0) x x

Re: January Buddies
Totty! Great that you're able to be at your parents, i've had a friend staying with me this week, and it means so much to have some constant company- she even washed my hair for me over the sink last night! Love her.
I've been in button up pyjama tops constantly, as I do feel the need to keep undoing them and checking the new additions!! haha!!
Those paper knickers were sooo huge and voluminous werent they! Super sexy! haha...
Its good you're chilling out- I have found that I don't sleep much during the day, but watching loads of films etc, and then I sleep through the night and wake up about once because of pain... but it soon passes.
I'm now 3 days post op, and feeling fine- about the same pain wise I think, but I am making sure to take medication regularly, because I have to take it with food and don't want to get out of sync with that. I probs will try to switch just to paracetamol at the weekend.
Tried to take my bra off yesterday, but felt sick! Had to put it straight back on its so supportive!! Also having bubbly feelings in both boobs, I didnt have drains so there are some air bubbles in the pockets, which doesnt feel bad, just interesting!!
I second that, Mrs. S- it does feel like youre out for only seconds, so try not to feel at all worried!

Re: January Buddies
Glad you have got your parents to look after you!
I am looking forward to the paper knickers! Sexy :)
I am so excited, just giving the house a good clean today in preparation and cooking some meals for the freezer. For my underarms waxes this morning as well, lol.
All good to go! Being on Sunday.
I am not as nervous as I thought I would be so hopefully I won't feel too bad in the operating theatre either .
Xx

Re: January Buddies
Good idea doing meals you can cook easily & cleaning the house :0)
I think having my underarms waxed was more painful than waking up after the GA so you'll be fine.
Just don't over think things re the op. I didn't think about the procedure etc just that I was going to have nice new boobs afterwards. If you've ever had a GA on the NHS you'll notice the difference in the private hospital. So much better & more time taken with you plus I didn't wake up feeling sick or anything, they clearly used just the right amount.
Are you staying overnight or a day case? X x

Re: January Buddies
It was a little sore having them done this morning! I am trying not to think about it as well. All that nonsense with my heart murmur paperwork this week was actually a good thing I think. Means I haven't thought about the actual procedure. Just go in do it and wake up with big new boobies. Excellent. I am just a day case. We live less than an hour from the hospital so hubby is coming with me. Xx

Re: January Buddies
I was the same had my belated birthday surprise at the weekend then was working then it was op day so didn't have chance to fart let alone panic!
I am so grateful and pleased my boyfriend lives with me as he's been fantastic bless him. Even cleansing and moisturising my face last night before bed lol!! He hasn't quite mastered putting my hair in a pony tail though!
That's lucky you live so close to the hospital. The car journey home is uncomfortable so take a couple of pillows to push into your chest for the bumps!
