Buddha belly and bruises..
The dreaded buddha belly has arrived! I'm so bloated and bleh, look pregnant :( haha
Any tips on how to get rid of it?
Been drinking lots of water but think I'm just retaining it..probably didn't help that I had a bit of Chinese take out tonight, but appetite came back and I couldn't resist haha
Also bruised around my incision scars is that normal?
Xxxxx

When did you have your BA? Bruising is very normal chick don't worry! Oddly though I didn't bruise at all, lol! Budda belly can stay around for a few weeks so come ladies have said but I think it depends on the person, again, I hardly got bloated! Keep with the water and nature will take it course Hope you're happy with your boobies x

Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
All normal hunny Buddha belly can take anything from a week or two to go down, water is brilliant as it flushes the ga out of your system.
As soon as you start walking and getting out and about gently it will go down very quickly.
Bruising very normal also it's only the trauma of the op.. Xx

You're not meant to eat Chinese food for 2 weeks post op, as for the buddha belly it'll go in 3/4 weeks ish, maybe less. x

After having a ga, the gases and the medication painkillers give you a pregnant look! Not the nicest of experiences but it does go within a couple of weeks ! X

Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
Thanks girls, hopefully it will go soon!
Apparently some people are warned not to eat Chinese cause of the MSG in it but the nurses told me it would be fine, I didn't have much anyway!

Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
I recommend eating lots of apricots, drinking loads of liquid and coming off their painkillers as soon as you can - I was able to 'go' 3 days post op and definitely have that to thank!

Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
It lasted about a week for me and the constipation was about the same and then I spent a whole day on the loo!! I never knew about the chinese thing! I was told to avoid garlic for 2 weeks before and after but nothing about chinese!

Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
I have a dreadful Buddah belly at the moment, I got dressed today and thought about digging out some old maternity clothes I had its that bad I'm full of bruises too, lots on my upper arms as well. Heaven knows what they did to me whilst I was asleep lol. Xx
Re: Buddha belly and bruises..
Maternity clothes is a great idea! I've gone from looking 4 months pregnant this morning to 8 months this evening! I'll need to dig mine out of the attic too! It's just the most weirdest thing ever!!
Perhaps they strapped you to the theatre table cookie so you couldn't escape! Lol!
