Feeling blue :-(
Hi Ladies,
Haven't been in here much as its been manic at work/Uni....hope your all well!?
I'm not feeling so much boobie love lately :-(
Can't find a comfy bra (the nearest bravissimo is an hour away and its hard to get there when I work full time and have 2 young kids )
Also I'm measuring a big band 40 (im curvy broad and 5"11!) quite small a cup a d or c (I really wanted to be a dd/e!) I know they can't guartenee cup size and its just a number...but still can't help being down about it.
Also...I'm sure they've gotten smaller and are sagging!
Sorry for the long moan, don't get me wrong theyre SO much nicer than before BUT they just seem smaller than I'd expected especially in clothes :-(

Re: Feeling blue :-(
They are probably still settling hun, it's still early days, mine didn't change much in the first 6 weeks, then they started to drop and look odd, they appeared smaller when they dropped as you lose the really high look and gedt more of a natural slope to the breast. As for being smaller in clothes, changing the cut of the clothes can help greatly and with a good fitting bra it can change how big they look.
Re: Feeling blue :-(
Aww sorry to hear your feeling a bit down hunny. You may be surprised to your size when you.avtaully get fitted into the correct size bra and one that will accentuate your lovely new boobs.
As cookie and misf always say its about how you dress them and in the right clothing that can make all the diffrence. Sports bras and baggy hoodies, jumpers aren't going to do your new boobies much justice!
Maybe try and make an appointment and day of it in town and get fitted at bravissimo it will be worth it as they really are fantastic and they make you feel like your the only lady in the shop! Xx

Re: Feeling blue :-(
Thanks mrsB it sounds as though I really need to get to Bravissimo! I'm sure I will feel better when I find a bra that actually fits and is comfy! (I hope!) ;-)

Re: Feeling blue :-(
I'm sure you look nice in all your clothes hun, it's just some cuts flatter the chest and others hide it. I think pre op we are so trained to hide the fact we have no boobs that we automatically go for these styles still, and what suited small boobs or gel bras doesn't always work post BA. I always find a nice fitted V neck or something with stripes over the boobs look great, and high polo necks make my boobs look huge, however this doesn't work for everyone, so it is all about working with your shape and your new boobs and trying everything on to see how it looks. I know it's hard when your boobs are still healing and it can be a very frustrating time adapting to them, as they constantly change. You'll get there hun. Don't let it get you down
Re: Feeling blue :-(
At just 6 weeks post-op babe, although this is generally the time when you get the all clear from your surgeon your breasts do go on healing, you may think at 6 weeks they can't change much more... But I assure you they do hun. I'm not saying in terms of size, some do go on to fluff, others don't. I'm talking in terms of firmness. They will soften lots more than they have now! And as they soften more and gain more natural movement they fill the cups of your bras so much better.
Also a 40 back is very hun, I know you said you're broad and curvy but that does seem very large. I think when you do make time for yourself to have a proper fitting you'll be in for a big shock hun! And you do need to make that time for yourself hun, it's really not worth paying out all that money to have your boobs done if you then can't find a couple of hours of your time to ensure they're now going to get the correct support they need to maintain them hun.
Get yourself a sitter lovely and make time to be fitted - not so much to make your boobs look pretty, although that's a bonus, but to ensure they'll well supported. All the support from a bra comes from the band and if that band is too big, which I suspect it is, then your boobs really aren't being supported hun. Xx
