Big blue veins! Empty Big blue veins!

Post by sampowell 18th May 2011, 10:38 pm

Hi I'm a couple of months post op. I have quite thin skin and I'm pale. I could see my veins after my op but they settled shortly after so I wasn't bothered. But then, today! My boobs have been prickling me like hot pins goin in and out. Sounds horrific but it's bearable. Took my bra off tonight do I could wear my support bra for bed, looked in the mirror at the boobies, like ya do. And I have these massive blue veins everywhere! Looks like someone had been drawing on me. What the hell is this? Is it s good sign, ? Does it mean everythings knitting together or should I go to the clinic.? Has anyone else had this? wtf

mmmh, im not sure as i have never had this, but i cant imagine its anything bad. It sounds like ur just healing and as your boobs felt hot, this must have had some effect on ur veins, resulting in them mayb swelling a litte and making them more visible?

It's quite normal for the viens to be more visable while the skins has been and is being stretcched as it thins the skin out for a while. This could disappear as the skin thickens back up in a few months time. Also during that time of the month I find that viens can be a bit more visable.

I agree with misf1, hormones have big effect on my boobs too and when it's my time of the month, I'm bustin' out of my bras!

It 'could' also be that you may have fluffed again, which is a possibility so keep an eye on how you're fitting into those bras over the next week or so, the veins regardless will as they did before settle down and wont be so noticeable. xx
