how do body changes affect implants
hey guys, i was just wondering what impact body changes had on implants
I started my BA journey about a year ago but have had to put it on the back burner due to medical problems
I'm just starting looking into it again, not going to book any new consultations until closer to being ready but am starting to gather all my information again because i'm useless and forgot!!
I'm 5'5ish and weigh 10 stone - getting married in 14 months so am hoping to lose a bit of weight before then, nothing major - i'd like to get down to 9 stone and be a comfortable size 10 :) and then hopefully a year or two after that start a family? what effects does this have on the implants? I remember a surgeon telling me not to get them if i'm then going to have "drastic weight loss" as this can affect how they look but is a stone considered drastic? and hopefully by the time i go to having them done i'll have started to lose weight anyway. and also how would pregnancy effect them? my breasts have always remained the same size - i went from a size 6/8 to a size 12 in 3 months and the buggers still stayed an A cup!! so i don't know if i'm the kind of person who would get massive breast gain during pregnancy anyway. Obviously, i don't want to fork out 4k and then 2 years later have horrible looking boobies because of weight loss and babies but at the same time there is NO WAY i can get married with an A cup (really vain and superficial i know ) so i guess i'm kinda just looking for info so i know what to expect and if realisticly i am going to be looking at a reop just a few years down the line etc.
hope you girlies can help me :)

Re: how do body changes affect implants
I had my boobs done in May 2009 at 11stone 4lbs, by November 2009 I lost 2 stone and my boobs were fine, I slowly put a lot of the weight back on. I've lost about 10lbs so far and this time I notice it a lot, the breast tissue is going from my breasts, showing the implant a lot more, I've no more breast tissue to lose and I can feel the implants quite a lot. I plan to start a family soonish so I will be seeing how pregnancy affects my boobs and will see if they need doing again afterwards.
In my opinion, I'd get your boobs done when you are closer to your goal weight, as half a stone may not make much of a difference but 1 stone could. As for babies, well you may get pregnant in 2 years maybe sooner maybe later, you can't always plan these things, so I say go for it, you ony live once and you should be happy. Just make sure you've saved enough money to get them re done after babies, if you want/need to.

My surgeon refused to operate on me until I was happy and at my goal weight for 6 months as she said further weight loss would cause my boobs to sag again. I already had significant sag though so thats might be why she said it to me?!

Re: how do body changes affect implants
I guess weight loss affects everyone differently! I will try my hardest to lose at least half a stone before my op! Its probably going to be may/june time i have it anyway so i've got a while! I'd like to lose the weight before hand anyway as i'm worried being too top heavy might make me look big all over as I have seen this before on some people. SO i'd like to get my waist smaller and more defined so i will hopefully end up with a lovely hourglass figure and not become an apple! (i'm currently a 'pear' type) hope you girlies know what i'm on about because I tried explaining these worries to my fiance and he was sooooooooooo confused bless him !!

I'd reach your target weight first babe. You'll feel better about yourself knowing you look good and THEN have your BA as your reward - The icing on the cake!
After that as far as having children go... well, you never know what tomorrow will bring sweetheart, so I'd have your BA when you've lost the weight. It'll give you the motivation to keep it off too 'cos you'll want to maintain the look of your boobs then too and you can then enjoy whilst your body is at it's very best!

OMG i've come up with a cunning plan! I am a MASSIVE sucker for fast food/eating out. My house mate is the worst influence on me aswell haha! BUT, everytime i manage to say NO to going mcdonalds or a takeaway or out for dinner (unless its a special occasion) then i'll put the money I would have spent into my savings account to go towards the cost of the deposit! Lose weight and save money! Brilliant :P

Re: how do body changes affect implants
I would defiantly suggest losing weight first, about a year ago i lost a bit of body fat, a little from my tummy and my arms but i completely lost my boobs, every person will lose weight from different places faster and had i have had implant i cant imagine what they would look like. good luck xx
