body type question and high profile implants
Hi Girls,
I was just talking to my patient corordinator and my surgeon has 2 different sizes ordered for me and I get to pick between them right before surgery. Like I am even going to be able to focus that morning!! Anyway, I am 5'4' weigh about 112 lbs. My rib cage is 29 under my breasts and my waiste is 31. (no matter how small I am I do not have a tiny waiste.) my waite is also very high so I am short on top if that makes sense. I am a 34 a cub right now. I have almost 3 inches between my breast so they seem far apart to me. I am getting "gummy bear" tear drop shaped impants over the muscle. One set he irdered is 335 cc moderate profile and the other is 360 cc the naturlle fx seriers which is high profile. I am consfused. He did not go over the difference with me. I did not even know there was a profile difference. So COnfused!! Even though I do not weigh much I never feel small because of my shape. I don"t want boobs that are going to make me feel bigger. Hoping to make my waiste look smaller. Hoping for a nice C cup. Any advice on the difference in profiles and my shape would be appricated.

Re: body type question and high profile implants
Hi hun firstly it sounds like you are wearing the wrong bra and you should probably be wearing a 30c in uk sizes. And the size you want to be would then be a 30dd which is the same as a 34 c. As for the implants you have been offered I would try them on with your sports bra before the surgery
Re: body type question and high profile implants
Also I have a big waist and big hips and now big boobs and it makes my waist look tiny.
Re: body type question and high profile implants
agree that youre already likely a C cup, because youre not a 34 band with a 29 in rib cage.
Ive got a 29 in ribcage too and had high profile and ive still got some side boob, so id worry that the moderate profile might be too wide?

Re: body type question and high profile implants
Maybe I gave the wrong size. I am 34 inches around the chest if i measure across the nipple and 29 inches if I measure rib cage under the breast. My surgeon said I would not quite be a full C after implants. This is so confusing.

Re: body type question and high profile implants
Your band size is the closest size to your under ribs measurement. You measure 29 inches so your bra should be a 30 band not 34. The band is the part that offers most of the support so has to be very snug around your ribs. The over the 34 inches over bust is your cup size. So you are 4 inches bigger than your band size of 30. An aa cup would be 0 inches bigger. An a cup is 1 inch bigger, b cup is 2, c cup is 3 and d cup is 4. So you should probably be wearing a 30d
Re: body type question and high profile implants
Your surgeon is just saying you will look an average c cup. The average size is a 34 band. Bra sizes are such a nightmare. That's why we say not to worry too much about bra sizes but to just worry about how they will look.
Re: body type question and high profile implants
Your ribcage is the same size as mine and I just got measured at La Senza as a 30DD or 32D.
You're wearing the wrong sized bra Candycain :flowers:

I've got a thick waist too so I sympathise, my personal opinion is that the bigger boobs you have, the smaller your waist will look. x

Re: body type question and high profile implants
Oh I didn't answer your question, the 2 implants you're choosing between are likely to be very similar, so don't get too worried about it, the high profile will just project a teeny tiny bit more, probably not even noticeable to the naked eye... you could always let your surgeon decide. x
