hi girls as you may know i had my op a week ago today.i am still bloated though.i have been to the toilet once today and that is it all week.ive took 3 laxitives for 3 nights but they dont seem to work.i really hate it as i look pregnant lol.will my belly stay like this?or is it just because i havent been going to the toilet properly.sorry girls x

hi hun, i had this with my last 2 ops but not this time.
the co codamol are terrible for making you constipated...therefor bloated.
i decided this time round to ditch the co codamol and stick with paracetamol and it's worked wonders.
no costipation and no bloating at all it's brill.

I was bloated for a good 2-3 weeks after, it takes a while for the GA to flush out, drink loads of water x

Me too Mxbabe. My belly looks really big and bloated and I hadn't been to the toilet for a week which was giving me really bad stomach pains.

I tried Sennakot which was useless and instead have been taking Dulco Ease which was £4.50 from Boots.
I'm still constipated but have managed to go twice over the last 3 days (sorry to be gross everyone).

I know how you feel as it is really irritating...

i've finally lost my bloat....and weighed in at slimming world today with a 4lb loss....so it does work after a while babe!!

Try slimatee from any herbal or holland &barratt shop its a tea with natural laxative herbs in it...its made to get rid of bloat...and i drank water non stop xx

I think my stomach's been working since day one after the op, but I still have the bregnant look!! I was shocked after the op of how big my stomach is! lol..
Even my bf asked if there might be news to tell him, hahahaa..

Hope this goes away soon...

My stomach is finally starting to go down. Just weighed myself and have lost 3 pounds. Woo! 6 more to go!!! (Not all BA weight gain - I jetted off on an all inclusive caribbean holiday before my op!!!) Ooops.
