Can mild bouncing increase the risks of CC?
Hi Girls,
Just a quick question really.
I'm wearing very supportive sports bras (Freya active soft cup & Freya moulded racer back), which hold my boobies in nice & firm. I'm almost 4 weeks post op now and am back at work, which involves a 30min drive on the motorway each morning. Basically, in my car you can feel every single bump in the road (Mazda MX5)! It seems that my car was made for speed rather than comfort Anyway, when I drove home last night I could feel my boobies sort of jiggling slightly because of the vibrations in the road. They weren't full on bouncing at all, but just moving slightly as I went over bumps in the road and I could feel the vibrations from the engine in them (sounds silly writing it down lol). I know that we're not allowed to let our boobies bounce for a while, so do you think that this could increase my risk of capsular contracture? Or am I just being paranoid? lol. I just kind of assumed that we have to keep our boobies strapped down allowing no movement, but mine are quite soft & slightly jiggly already and it's really hard to keep them completey still, even in a supportive and well fitting sports bra!!

As long as you're wearing a high impact sports bra that fits correctly I wouldn't worry gvfab! There isn't much you can do about a teenie bit of jiggling when you drive so don't go panicking just yet lol.
I know what you mean though... A little bit of jiggling and I feel like an overprotective parent clinging onto my "twins" for dear life! x

You'll be fine hun, jiggling doesn't increase the risk of CC. Having an MX5 myself I know exactly what you mean. You are doing the right thing in keeping them in your high impact sports bra.

I had c c and I dont think you can "do" anything to make it happen. Its an internal reaction to a foreign object in the body , it just depends how much your body does nt like it.I do take vit E capsules every day and have done since my re op as there is some evidence this can help .xx

Thanks for the reassurance girls, it's easy to get paranoid!! lol
Alice - that's literally what I was doing yesterday! lol, I ended up driving down the motorway one handed with my left arm & hand wrapped across my boobies for protection!! Silly me lol xx

Haha! Keeping your boobies safe but probably not the rest of the drivers on the road that day then x

Haha I can't blame you, those are very expensive boobies! I finally made it back to the gym the other day and was using one hand on the cross trainer and the other to hold them still... its a wonder I didn't fall off with my two left feet x

Re: Can mild bouncing increase the risks of CC?
There's absolutely no risk at all of CC hun. You're probably experiencing your breasts starting to soften up now babe so the natural jiggle will be felt by you. As long as like you said you keep your boobs well supported you'll be fine, otherwise the only problem you'd experience from this would be discomfort babe. xx
