Day 5 Post-Op Update :)

Helloo everyone! Thought I'd let you all know how I'm getting on.
Basically I've had no bother with healing or doing anything really! I have taken it easy every day and tried not to push myself too much. My body definitely told me when it wasn't happy! I went out for lunch yesterday then thought I was going to be sick on the way home, got to my boyfriends house, nearly fainted then slept for about 3 hours while he played on his games lol. I came to the conclusion the painkillers I'd been given were WAY too strong for me so I've ditched them in favour of paracetamol whenever I need them, which is never now... I was on 1000g co-codamol every 4 hours!! No wonder I was nearly passing out every day.
I haven't had any bother with sleeping on my back slightly propped up which came as a surprise cause I thought I would really struggle. I fall asleep on my back and wake up in the same position! I've also washed my hair twice since, with the help of Dan yet again, holding the shower head for me, putting the shampoo on etc haha. But I manage leaning over the bath.
I actually had a bit of a gurgle noise in my left boob today which I knew to expect. It felt funny but doesn't really bother me. I also had some tingling in my right nip! Both my nips are completely numb at the moment, in fact most of the boobs are so I reckon the tingling is a sign of nerves sorting themselves out!
I took some more pictures yesterday so I'll try to get them on the laptop now and if I can I'll post on my picturetrail thread :)

The great thing about this forum is that anything that happens to me I already know about and have heard about, so things like the tingling or the funny feelings and noises I know are totally normal.
Dan even repeats things back to me that I've told him lol like when I worry he's like "well you told me this..." and I'm like "oh yeah!" haha he listens well!

Its great to hear you are doing so well Laura.And I totally agree with you when you say being on this forum has made things less worrying for you as you knew certain things are going to happen and its normal. Keep being a good girl and take it easy . Look forward to your next update xx

1000mg of codeine.. babe are you sure? That sounds like a MASSIVE error...If the tablets are cocodamol 30/500 the most u should be getting 4-6hrly is 60mg of cocodamol with 1g of paracetomol. If they have you on just codiene(which would be odd) the tablets would be 60mg which is pretty hefty and ive never seen given for BA's.

Please be careful with codeine, it can depress the respirartory system if you OD on it, meaning you'd stop breathing. If you wanna discuss your prescription with me, PM me but id also ring your clinic to check.

Sophie I've checked my packet of meds and it says co-codamol 30/500mg 30mg codeine phosphate hemihydrate and 500mg paracetamol. That sounds a bit more like it lol!!

I'm off all painkillers now, just on anti biotics which I only have 2 days left of :)

Im amazed by how well I feel to be honest. I know 2 girls 'in real life' who've had their boobs done and they both said it was a doddle afterwards, but I thought yeahhh ok and thought Id form my own opinion, but I have to say so far they are totally right!
Me & Dan have been together 6 months on Saturday and he's offered to take me out for food and some drinks so it'll be the first chance I've had to dress up a bit :) I have a top in mind which *should* hide my sports bra so I can keep it on lol.

Post-op check tomorrow I will let you know how it goes
