Day Two Post Op Update
This is the first detailed post I have made since the operation so although I plan to post my story at some point, I will bring you up to date quickly here....
Went in 7.30am Friday, taken down for op at 9.30. Op took 4 hours (!!!!) and I was wheeled back into my room at 1.30pm.
I was hoping for 320-340cc's but my surgeon told me afterwards that my skin couldn't take it and that they had decided to drop me down to 280cc's. I was gutted but on reflection, I think its gonna be ok.
Came home yesterday and spent the day in pj's watching tv and taking pain killers. By last night I was in a lot of pain and went to bed pretty upset, expecting this morning to be hell.
Woke up this morning feeling better and was pleasantly surprised at how the pain was less. Have been more mobile and actually got dressed today but this evening, I have started to get a really big pain in my left breast, like a burning, pulling sensation under the nipple. After some pills, it seems to have calmed down a bit.
I was discharged with Tromadol but was advised only to use it if the pain became unbearable - the nurses seemed keen for me to stick with paracetamol and codeine, which I have so far. I think I need a little bit of discomfort to stop me overdoing it! Every time the pain subsides, I start doing things I probably shouldn't!!!
In terms of the size, they are ok. Not as big as I had hoped but I think they'll get a little bigger as they settle. They are still pretty high in my chest although they are overs, but the best thing is that they look great - nipples both front and centre, nice gap between and not a scary cone shape - maybe thats why it took four hours!!
I took a quick measurement yesterday it looks like I am somewhere between D and DD, but it doesn't look like it to me! The surgeon said that I have virtually no swelling so what I see is all me!! My stitches are super-neat and have not caused me any pain at all so far.
I have been so tired since the op and my appetite is zero so I am a bit wobbly on my legs.
I think that brings you up to date. I will post my full story soon....struggling to concentrate on anything right now!
So far....no regrets...just need to stop looking at them in the mirror and cradling them in my hands as I walk!!
I love my boobs!!!!!
