Consealed stitch? Empty Consealed stitch?

Post by Loobs 20th June 2012, 9:26 pm

I have a little lump just above my incision underneath my breast. Looking at it, it looks like a white spot, but it isnt. If i press on it it feels slightly hard and if i scratch it it makes me wince a bit...could it be a concealed stitch? (i had dissolvables)

If so how the devil would it be removed? cut out??

I have that as well, was a bit worried at first when I see it but as its hard I thought it may be the stitch. So hopefully that's all it is.... Xx

Sounds like a spitting stitch Consealed stitch? 1978086825 Its very normal and they can come through weeks even after you're recovery. If these do come through to the top, it's best to see your clinic nurse to have these snipped rather than pull them out yourself to avoid any infection. xx

I can totally relate to this when i had my previous op i was forever pulling stitches out even tho they were dissolvables, i found where the knot was it wouldnt dissolve for some reason,so just pulled it slighty and snipped and pulled rest out, it shouldnt hurt but just becareful or go bk to your PS and get him to do it. I found they would just start to pop up on their own and look like spots but would feel hard and sometimes sharp, just your body trying to get rid of the foreign objects and just need that extra little help Consealed stitch? 184153
