Problem from the start cause for reop?
So I know I'm only 17days PO but my boobs really un even :( I had to have a nipple lift on one boob as it was bigger & saggier (due to bfing off it more I think) I asked the surgeon if I'd need diff size implant in each but he said no. Fair enough, yet my bigger boob is still much bigger & my smaller boob is a completely different shape. It pulls outwards more from my cleavage whereas my bigger has a nice curve where my cleavage is, so they look completely different in shape & size. Anyway my question was If there a problem from the start can you push for a re op to sort it out? Their loads better obvs & I do love them, it's just nigglering at me & I think I'm gonna say something to my surgeon when I go him on 7th July as really if you pay nearly £4000 they should be pretty close to perfect! Thanks in advance xx

Of course I would make your surgeon aware of any problems you may have, and express you concern over their asymetry. However as you know it is still early days and they will expect you to wait at least 6 months to see if there is any improvement, they may even suggest a year. This is because it can take a full year to see the final result. It may be because the larger breast didn't need to stretch as much as the smaller boob, the implant has settled quite quickly, where as the smaller boob will have had a big implant squashed into it and it will need more time to soften and drop and look more like the other. We all have a degree of asymetry so they will never look completely even, and you will always notice this (as we are very self critical) but others my not see it at all.
I would say to make sure your surgeon notes all your concerns in your records (make sure he does) as if there does turn out to be a problem later on you can push for a re op then. But try not to panic just yet, it's still very early and they may look this way for a little while yet. Which is very normal.

Thanks hun, yeah I'm hoping it's just still early days but everyone's said from day one that one was bigger & since about 7days po a difference in shape. Your right about being self critical (bloody hard not to be lol!) Think I'm definitely going to tell him but just can't help panicking! I want loads of girls to say that they were exact same & now they have perfect boobs, is that too much to ask for?! Lol only joking! Thanks for replying hun xx

I didn't have asymetry at first, mine were under my chin, and they didn't change at all until 6 weeks post op. I developed asymetry a few months down the line, one went perfect and the other stayed under my chin I was mortified, but they settled even ish eventually. I can see a difference between them but its slight

You're smaller breast will have had a little more trauma to it with squeezing into the tighter skin the same sized implant as the larger breast Livy, so it makes sense that this would be the breast to take a little longer to heal.
You'll be surprise at how much your breasts are going to change over the next coming 'months' Livy, mine took 3 months to catch up to eather babe, evening out the symmetry and the sizing becoming the same, so you are still very early days to be judging your boobs just yet.
As always though, when you next see your surgeon if you're still concerned, do get your concerns noted by your surgeon. xxx

Re: Problem from the start cause for reop?
I would definitely listen to everything the other girls have said hun because they've all said the same to me when I was worried!
I started out with assymetrical breasts and wanted an op to rectify this, I was mortified about 10 days PO when they looked incredibly uneven. I was reassured by girls here that as I was early PO to wait it out and discuss my concerns with my surgeon (ensuring it was all in my notes). Well my breasts have changed out of that awkward stage. They're by no means identical and I think for any woman that would be an unrealistic expectation.. Nobody is 100% symetrical. They are as close as I think they could be though.
Give your breasts time, there is every hope they will fix themselves so don't worry yourself just yet but do communicate your feelings with your surgeon and ensure he writes them in your notes! X

Heey :)
I didn't realise mine weren't symmetrical til after my BA and it must have just exaggerated it, but I still think my left needs to drop a bit.
Yours though hun are still really early on, mention it to your ps, yes! but for what it's worth you have a way to go yet to see the finished results x

Thanks girls, hope it's just cause I'm early on, I know there will be a slight difference in size as there was before but it's more the way the smaller boob sits & it's shape so hopefully like you say it's just cause I haven't given it time to settle as I'm still really early on, will definitely mention it though. Thanks for all your comments xxxx
