Likely ReOp :(
Well back from seeing my surgeon after contacting him to say im worried about my right implant.
Bascially its difficult to describe the problem I noticed - but basically when i lie down my right implant falls to the side I first noticed it because i still felt flat chested when lying down, the implant is very mobile in the pocket: not great when I have anatomicals that can rotate...
So seen my surgeon today who agrees that there is some slack in the pocket & that my implant is quite mobile. It is most visable when lying down. So the plan is wait 4weeks untill Jan and keep in my sports bra untill then to hold it in place. If its no better, or still a problem then he suggests I will need a re-op on my right breast We discussed what will need to be done & he is thinking i will need a bigger implant in my right to take up the slack. I'm okay with having a bigger implant as I do feel my breasts are slightly uneven right now. We didn't go into great detail as he says we will do that in january when a decision is made for a definate ReOp, but its likely that will be what is to happen. He says it will be done in Feb when im 12weeks post op from this surgery & that he will not charge me, and will contact mybreast to ensure I am not charged.
So now im feeling gutted. I didnt want him to say "Its fine it will resolve itself you have lots of healing to do yet" because I am not happy with my right boob, but at the same time I was completely dreading needing a ReOp. But I suppose if thats what has to happen to get perfect boobs then thats what will be. If anyone has had a pocket revision or implant change to one boob with unders please let me know how it went & how healing was afterwards!

Re: Likely ReOp :(
Aww Cazzy im sorry to hear thats its gonna need a reop but better to get it fixed and also opportunity to get bigger implants,. Surely they would need to replace both implants instead of just going bigger in one of them??
Hope you're feeling ok!!! xx

Re: Likely ReOp :(
Sorry to hear that Hun, I had pocket revision on my lefty. Is that the only suggestion he gave was ro have a bigger implant? Usually if the pockets been over dissected it's just stitched up to make it tighter .
Please don't worry though Hun, it's fine, recovery is loads quicker not as painful and ESP if it's only one breast x

Re: Likely ReOp :(
He focussed mainly on going for a larger implant, I think he said this cus he feels now the swelling has gone that there is a difference in size. Were gonna discus what the plan will be when I see him on Jan 30th..

Re: Likely ReOp :(
It will all be corrected Cazzy, It can't be easy but you can't have that in one boob going on. Keep positive and will be lots of support on here from ladies who had had something similar xxxx thinking of you love Jak x

Re: Likely ReOp :(
Awww sweetie, I'm so sorry to read of the possibility of a re-op but glad your surgeon was so good and reassured you that if the problem persists it will all be sorted out for you.
it does settle. We have women on here before who have had problems with the implant moving and with keeping the breast as stable as possible like your surgeon told it has righted itself. So fingers crossed hun! Xx

Re: Likely ReOp :(
Sending hugs hun, at least it can be fixed, it's annoying I know and must be upsetting but sounds like if you're going to get a complication this isn't the worst.
I'm in with James Feb sometime all being well we might be in together :) xx
