Binder can't support the new boobies?
Says it all in the title I guess.. Had my BA last friday with 400 overs, so almost a week in the binder. The only problem is when getting up and moving around I need to hold on to the boobs as they are in agony and feel extremely heavy. I'm just wondering if I should go out and buy a sports bra for support as I don't think the binder does this :(... Getting my stitches out wednesday and really don't feel I can wait that long...
Anyone else got any solutions? Or do I just have to wait :( ?!
Thankyou xxx

Hello and welcome to BJSF Minnie
You really shouldn't remove the binder hun as it's part of your post-op recovery prescribed by 'your' surgeon.
At just 6 days post-op you will feel the heaviness and uncomfort even in sports bras hun, it's just part of the healing process I'm afraid
If you're really feel you're very unsupported though lovely, it might be worth your while giving your clinic a ring and getting them to take a look for you, it may be that they'd just like to tighten the binder up again for you as it may have loosened as your swelling has subsided?
You will have paid a heck of a lot of money for after-care babe and these reasons are what it's in place for sweetie, so if you're at all concerned about ANYTHING Minnie, don't be afriad to use that and call the clinic. xx

It's a sort of compression bandage type thing Alexis to hold the breasts into position -
It could maybe look something like this:
Or it could be a tight elasticated bandage around the chest area with wadding underneath. xx
Re: Binder can't support the new boobies?
I haven't removed it as i'm too scared! Still haven't had a proper look at them just a peek!!
I feel so much more reassured.. I think my body is just in total shock and can't handle it! and hello! Total newbie and new to all the boob business too!
and alexisbell-murphy it's like a really tight boob tube bandage thing to keep boobs in place!!

Oh no! Earlier today I posted a message wondering if the binder would offer enough support (im pre BA), Cookie kindly reassured me that it would be fine but now I've gone back to wondering!
As Cookie said, surely it just needs to be tightened up again.
I'll be keeping an eye on your post to see what you find out :o)

It's been great until day 5 where i've found myself in agony.. I'll call the clinic tomorrow, but saturday think i'm going to buy a sports bra and maybe wear it over the binder as my arms go numb from holding them all day!!
