Incision question Empty Incision question

Post by jay1983 4th May 2012, 9:51 am

My left boob is healing well. Most of my right appears to be apart from the underneath incision that bleed badly in the hospital. Going to see a nurse today as doesn't look like its knitted together properly.

Ouuuch!!! But I guess that if it bled while you were still in hospital, they would have given it special attention. How could they be so careless with the stitches?!?! Good luck and keep us updated xx

I had to pester them in the hospital to look as my PS didn't come and see me at all after my surgery. They were going to let me leave with out seeing a doc!!! A general surgeon came and redressed it! xxx

You'll be OK Jay I'm sure sweetheart Hug

I bled so much after my surgery I ended up having to spend an extra night in the hospital, gotta say I was well looked after and constantly had the wound checked. I continued to bleed after discharge, not as much as in hospital, but enough for my dressings to be sodden and having to take trips every day to the clinic to have my dressings changed for about 3 or 4 days, I was really sore like you say, but it did get better and the wounds did heal beautifully in the crease incisions were I was bleeding from.

You're right to go back to the clinic and have the incision checked babe - Hope all goes well Jay. xx

Incision question Empty Re: Incision question

Hey...well I went and nurse had a look. She says that incision is slightly longer and goes out further than the other one. Hence why I am so aware of it and not the other one. I'm guessing reason for that is because it wa sbigger boob. She put sutures on to give it some support as agreed it seemed to be in an earlier stage of healing than the other one. She's gave me loads to be able to dress it and change it so I can continue to support it. SHe also said to use some cream on boobs but not on incisions as my skin was dry and flaky. Feel better for going but will go back if the pain continues. xxx

One of my incisions healed much slower and had like a little hole in it for a while, but its perfect now. You just have to remember that they're two separate 'wounds' so will heal at different paces honey. x

Ouch I hope it wasn't too painful having stitches done again. They do take time to heal 100%. Remember that each boob is a separate operation and sometimes it's not good to compare. In my case, my right scar is healed whereas on the left one I still have some scab left. I hope you feel better now and that you put your mind at rest Incision question 571992
