A nursing bra with the support of sports?
Hello Ladies,
Hope everyone in doing ok
I'm due to have my baby in 2 wks and my milk is coming in, this has taken me from a 32 FF to a 34 GG but I am popping out of this bra ATM..
I do have some nursing bras but in comparison to my sports bras they offer minimal cup support and my implants ache if I wear them. ...
I will breastfeed for as long as needed, but I need full support to keep the implants in place whilst I do, and sports bras are thick and fiddly to get in and out of multiple times per day ...
Any suggestions for a good alternative? I would say I will be about a size 32 GG-H when my milk settles .
Any advise, I dread feeding through a sports

I know Macom do a nursing bra, I'm afraid I haven't tried it myself because I didn't know about it at the time.

I can't think of an alternative JQueen, I'm just going all mushy reading your post.... Awwwwww an ickle baby soon!!!!!
Personally, as you're going to be quite a size when your milk comes in I'd bare with the sports bra sweetness, but then I'm not really thinking about your comfort when I'm saying that, I'm think more on the side of premature sagging after feeding, so would want to keep the breasts as supported as possible throughout the pregnacy and through feeding.
I've breast fed two children (without implants) and know all to well the damage that can be caused to your breasts...
I'm afraid you're just going to have weigh up whether you want comfort and ease.... or support and effort gorgeous...
Awwww I hope you stick around so we can follow your progress, maybe you could start a diary too if you'd like to so other women wanting children and worrying about the effects on their breasts can see how you got on... We've had a couple of new mums on BJSF and all seem to have had good results after the baby! xx

Aww good luck with the new baby Jqueen!
I didn't do this myself, but I know it's possible to convert a normal bra to a nursing bra, you need to buy the special clips that go at the top of the cup and do a bit of sewing. Or I suppose you could pay a seamstress to convert a couple if you aren't very good with a needle and thread. Then you can choose any bra you want.
Or I'd probably wear vest tops and supportive bras and take the whole shoulder down when feeding to start with. I think all nursing bras are that very soft cotton so not supportive enough really.
xx

Perhaps a sports bra with a front opening like a z bra will do? It would still be a faff but not as much so as with most sports bras?
Congratulations are also in order! Do you know what you're having? :) x

Have a look at these:

You might get more options on here as well:

I haven't tried sports nursing bras, I used to wear nursing bras, and then sports bras when I would exercise, then get back into my nursing bra again. But I didn't have implants, and my boobs decided to go south overnight half way through my first pregnancy, so the 'harm' as far as brast appearace goes was already done, and knew I'd be resorting to surgery at some point. I think maximum support like ie sports nursing bra is a brilliant idea. Just make sure it's comfortable though xxx

Hi Cookie,
Ahh thanks, the decision to have another baby wasn't easy, I'm double jointed so get severe SPD and I am now sporting a wheelchair if I need to go out
I think I will cry MORE for this little dude than my other two, simply because it has been a long and painful road to get at him!
You are the same as me, I BF my 2 boys and thats how I came to be needing the boob job, which, despite my fears is holding out really well..
I will deffo take pics, I struggled to find any similar info, of course Women have BA's then get pregnant but I have not really come across a diary so I think I will do that :flowers:
I don't know what effect the baby feeding (tugging) at my skin will have,
I am hoping that things will shrink back, and instead of empty sacks the implants will be there to hold em' up
My nipples HAVE drooped a lil bit, just due to the size increase..
Funny the pain we girls will go through for our babies isn't it?
I'm having a secluded c-section on the 10th on may, due to my "Elvis pelvis"
(It likes to rock around the clock :heehee: )
Thanks for your post really cheered me up

Hi hun,
What a fab idea! I think I will try this out I am stuck in at home so I might get some haberdashery stuff from ebay, and you are right the cotton thing is what was the issue no support, do I sense a niche in the market perhaps? I don't know but that would be much easier especially for night feeds xx

Yes you sort of have to wear vest type tops or easy access when you BF full time, can be a pain if you have a nice dress you wanna wear but thats a good idea x
Thanks hun and I'm having a lil boy, or BIG as my consultant laughed at the size of his balls yesterday, no problems in that department then :heehee: xx
