MRSA screening
How do they test this?
I'm having mine done tomorrow, nothing like last minute 8 days before the op so fingers crossed I'm not a carrier!x

Re: MRSA screening
They did this to me before having my daughter when I knew I was going in for a c-section. They swab the inside of your thigh, it takes seconds.

Re: MRSA screening
Was nothing to worry about after all :) and she gave me the swabs to do myself. After getting my bapps out left right and centre for consultations you'd think I'd be used to the invasion of personal space!x

Re: MRSA screening
I can't imagine they would do it on the day as it has to be sent off for testing. I assume she asked you in your pre op whether you'd been to hospital within the last 12 months (including visiting anyone) and you would have said no... Otherwise she would have done it! I'd forgot that I'd been in to a clinic, and so had to go back to be screened.x
