Implant warranty card
It's just dawned on me I wasn't given a card that's meant to have come with my implants. All they gave me after op was medication, and there was no mention of it when I went for my one week check up. Am I missing something? I'm due to go for my second post op next week (meant to be tomorrow but DH is away, and have no childcare).

Re: Implant warranty card
My card came about a couple of months after I had surgery, but what I was given was a photocopy of the implant information as an interim measure.
But no harm in asking how long the card takes to come through at your follow up or email the nurse.

Thanks, that makes sense. I was so drugged up and sick after surgery, I wanted to make sure I hadn't missed anything! I'll still ask next week just to be sure xxx

Re: Implant warranty card
Oh.. iv not had mine done yet so i dont know but im certain when i went for my consulation my patient coordinator made it clear that i defiently will be getting a card .. its basically your reference too.
if any problems occur it tells whoever imputs that data into a sytem exacly who did the prcedure and what implants are in and stuff.
you should chase it up hun. could be important for the future. xx

Re: Implant warranty card
If you call My Breast and tell them you'd like the card, I'm sure if it's something you'd specifically like in your care rather than theirs they'd forward it on to you... after all, it does belong to you. xx

Re: Implant warranty card
I phoned Mybreast, and they told me it would take about six to eight weeks to receive my card. Also, both they and my PS have it all on record too.

Re: Implant warranty card
I got a massive book about allergan implants with the cards in the back - they haven't been popped out of their page so can stay in their page - it's one card for each boob!
(when i say massive... it's about 1cm thick and maybe just smaller than a5 size)

Re: Implant warranty card
Hi, I am am over 1 year po with MyBreast and still havn't had my card. I did ask on several occasions and my pc said it can take a while and said not to worry as we have the information but that's not the point really! They are a great company but very slow admin wise.

Roxanne... All I got was a piece of pink card that says prospective clinical documentation record, date of surgery, bilateral etc.. Name if surgeon. And on the back it has two nagor labels with right breast left breast with their ref numbers and lot numbers did you get one of those? Xx

Hi I had mine through Harley Medical and my op was done at The Nuffield, I was given my card along with my meds when I was being discharged. I would give them a fone just to find out. x

Re: Implant warranty card
I asked PS about the card when I had my second post op check up. He personally wrote down my surgery details, ie. implants used and date, signed it, and stuck on two Nagor labels with serial number, same as the ones you've mentioned Beej. Plus he will verify that I will receive a card, also as I previously mentioned, he has all the information himself, as does Mybreast, and the Mybreast receptionist said it would take six to eight weeks to receive a card xxx

Re: Implant warranty card
Oh and tbh, I'm percfectly happy with what PS gave me regardless, it has all the important info I need on them implant stickers, I wanted the serial numbers and proof. I've put his letter away with my important papers :)
