implant/warranty card!
hi girls, any post op ladies know this?? why wasnt i given a warrenty card/implant serial number when i left bmi hospital yesterday after my op?? if i had that, i could find out out what implant brand, (allergen i think) the size etc, and what profile, but when i emailed my surgeons secretary, she said the surgeon keeps the warrenty on file at the hosp but why dont i have it too ?? is this odd??

Hum that id Odd & they didnt tell you what size implant you had?
I got mine as i left the hospital & i watched them fill it out in theater & double checked the size with me & they made me sign to say i was happy with the size..................Id ring them to find out whats going on.
How you feeling?

Re: implant/warranty card!
Hey hun.
On my release forms from the hospital, which detail all meds given to you, the surgery performed e.t.c I just had two stickers on the back of the yellow page which was for me to keep (pink page was for me to give to my doc) confirming which implants I had.
I wasn't given a warranty card either hun, those stickers on the release notes are all I have.

Re: implant/warranty card!
I recieved my warranty card by recored delivery on the morning of my operation. On the reverse of the card it has left and right implant no's.
I'd give them a ring to put your mind at ease hun.

Re: implant/warranty card!
the only papers that were given to me was a discharge card to hand into reception, a letter to give to my gp, and an appointment card to come back too see surgeon/nurse next week etc??
no i wasnt told of size,i told my ps to choose the size he thort looked best during surgery, but i forgot to ask him when i saw him yesterday, and he never said either what size he used, but im thinking either 260cc coz he seemed happy with that size first of all.
when i go back up there maybe i should just ask for the warrenty number to write down for future reference?? xx

I wasn't given anything either. I'm going to ask for it when I go back for a check up.

Re: implant/warranty card!
I had to call Mybreast and ask for it. They said I wasnt given it automatically as they needed the ID numbers from the implants to register for the lifetime guarantee
