Allergan 410 warranty
Hi Girls..
Just wondering if any of the girls who have had the allergen 410 implants know exactly what the warranty includes? Ive been trying to find information on it and can't seem to find any solid information... i was sure i read that there was cover for CC grade 4 & 5 and up to £700 contribution to surgery costs but i can't seem to find this in writing!! xx

Re: Allergan 410 warranty
The 410 implants as stated on page 44 of the catalogue are covered by their 'confidence plus' warranty.
They're covered for replacement for lifetime but you will recieve 10 years financial assistance should they rupture to the cost of £700 here in the UK.
Not they will not cover adverse reactions that ruptures may cause (I got caught out on this one with aftercare though, not the implant warranty, but something to bare in mind)
You can read the warranty HERE

No hun, CC is not covered by the implant warranty, only ruptures.
Quoted from the warranty

Regardless of the age of the implant, Allergan provides product replacement in the event of a deflation or rupture due to loss of shell integrity

To be honest, if you get quoted the £200 Vix did from her surgeon, £100 a year for that additional reassurance is a VERY small price to pay I feel. Xx
Re: Allergan 410 warranty
I think that too! I'm just worried its too late for me to apply for it... i am going to contact my clinic and arrange a consult xx

Re: Allergan 410 warranty
If you're still covered by aftercare which you should be, I don't see why your surgeon wouldn't offer it to you... The insurance doesn't start till 'after' the end of your aftercare, so it makes no difference to them really does it? Xx
Re: Allergan 410 warranty
There was no real significant aftercare package with my clinic - i hear most BAAPS surgeons operating from private clinics don't really offer aftercare as such but that they 'do look after you' and offer corrective surgery for revision etc but for CC i think its entirely down to the patient! xx

it would be wise to check which aftercare you have G. After that runs out NO surgeon, no matter how much they sympathise will offer you free revision without cover hun.
What you always have to remember is that this is a business. And you get what you pay for.
sure with a BAAPS surgeon you're paying for that experience and skill, but the aftercare can be anything from 3 months to 5 years from what I'm aware of with a BAAPS surgeon. But you should ALWAYS be clear about what your aftercare covers.
if you require revision for ANY complications outside of your aftercare ALL costs aside from the cost of your implants and a reduction of the £700 for your implants if you have a 'rupture' is all you will get babe. X
Re: Allergan 410 warranty
I just checked with a girl who had surgery with my clinic and she thinks its around 6 months... seems so short :/ aftercare was never really my main priority though (now starting to question this!). I was always more focussed on getting a good surgeon so that i would minimise my risk of having to use my aftercare... my outlook was id rather have no aftercare and not need it, than have years of aftercare and have to use it on numerous occasions..
I am going to contact my clinic immediately though as if there is very limited aftercare that BAAPS insurance is definitely worthwhile for me xx

Re: Allergan 410 warranty
As this is so new they may not yet know about it so it may be worthwhile Emailing a link to the press release too G as well as telling them other BAAPS surgeons are already offering the insurance. You can find the link in the post about the insurance on the forum lovely. Xx
