And I'm on April 5th :) What are you having and where? I'm having 470 cui low profile or 505 cui low profile with Mr Hassan, the Hospital Groupx

I'm (hopefully) having a re op on the 3rd of April - still very worried about everything!

Great the more the merrier I say !! we can all be in it together then If you want that is of course...if u do maybe we should add each other as friends ...go to each others profiles and send a friend requests which you then accept and go from there...unless anyone knows a better way that it as I'm pretty new to this myself xx

madrigle66 - 20 years!!! WOW! I hope mine next ones last that long!!! :D. Can't believe I'm having a reop after 3 years :(. I'm hopefully having extra HP nagor impleo overs, 360cc.

Sounds like a good idea to me Madrigle! It will be great to be able to chat to people who are going through the whole exciting/scary experience at the same time.

I just want to get on with things now ! have bought my surgical bras (very attractive they are too ! ) and started packing my bag for going to hospital (I'm that sort of girl I'm afraid LOL) now I'm going to get the Arnica 200 and 30 and some scar cream for afterwards XX

Wow Madrigle you are so organised! I've had a quick look on the Internet at sports bras but I'm still none the wiser really! My surgeon didn't really rate using arnica, what did yours say? X

I was told to get a surgical bra from MACOM medical supplies - its a special compression bra (style 1007 I think) not cheap at nearly £40 each and was told I should get 2 as u are meant to wear them 24/7 for a while ! I never asked him about Arnica but LOADS of girls on here rate it so thats good enough for me ! most medics dont rate homeopathic medicine i think but a lot of people swear by it and I think if it doesnt do any harm and its not expensive then i may as well give it a go ...if it works great xx

Hi girls... not long now for us eh ? how u all feeling ? I have a stinky cold at the moment so hoping I will be cold free by the 6th !! Nerves really kicking in already - JUST WANT IT ALL OVER WITH NOW !!! My bags packed and I'm all ready to go !! LOL

Ive bought some 30c arnica tablets, people say they are good for afterwards for bruising etc, what do you think?

Hi Eve I having mine done in Glasgow...I'm off for my pre op consultation tomorrow and am going to ask about the Arnica ..I think its the sort of thing that wont do any harm to take and if it does work then great it will be worth the £5 !! certainly worth a try !!

I think this next week is going to fly in and we'll be there in theatre next week before u know it !! Eve if u like I will pm you my mobile number and we can text next week ..it may be an easier way to communicate ?? xx

It says on my notes to start taking arnica and I had my pre op phone call today to say I have to be there at 1:30 and she said about taking arnica as it helps with bruising so I have got some.

So excited but quite nervous about how im going to feel after. I have a day in london so Im hoping to be up and about so I can go for a wander. I live in guernsey so will be flying home the friday night.

Will pm you Eve I,m just heading away to catch the train for my pre op and I plan to have a wee wander about Glasgow before and after and its a lovely day so better than working today !! I have a 90 mile car journey home after my op ....which I'm not looking forward to ....but I've got my V pillow to hand which the girls on here say helps with comfort...not sure if it would be too easy to humph one on a plane though Lol !??

I e mailed Helios a homeopathic comany about arnica - they suggested the 200c (which is more dilute but aparently homeopathy works on the theory of the weaker the solution the stronger the effects ??? anyway they said not to take it before only as soon after the op as possible , then 3 x a day for 3 days then twice a day for 3 days then once a day for 3 days ?? I think different people have different ideas on how it should be taken which makes for more confusion.....there is a famous homeopathy place in Edinburgh called Napiers and I think I will also contact them about Arnica and let you know what they say also see what I'm told today...Bromelin has also been mentioned...

I had my forst op 20 years ago and was quite sore afterwards BUT I believe that techniques have improved so much since then and I think you should be fine afterwards - some girls even report no pain at all !!! my surgeon thinks I should be totally fine after 3 days and should even be able to drive then ?? but I see some girls have been told no driving for about a week.....I'm taking 2 weeks off nayway just in case (I'm never off work really so I may as well make the most of things Lol !!) .
