Leaving the house... :S
Hi everyone!
Just wondering ronm thepost op ladies, how long after your op did you leave the house?? Even just for a wander about.
And how long was it before you could lead a relatively normal life?!!
Thanks

I left the house exactly one week after my op to attend my post op appoitment - Lol! My boyfriend took me out for dinner that evening too but it was cold so I was shaking which made my chest hurt. I could have left the house at day 5 I feel, I was off all pain medication then. I'm back to work on Monday, which will be 10 days after my op, will let you know how I get on!

Re: Leaving the house... :S
I had my op on the Saturday.
On the Monday I walked to the bus stop to meet my OH from the bus home from work and back again, just to get me out of the house. I did that Tuesday and Wednesday too.
Thursday I went on a bus to the theatre. I was fine when I got there but the bus wasn't great - make sure you are sat down before the bus starts moving.
Friday was just to the bus stop again. Sat and Sun just up the road to the shops (he carried everything). Monday I went to my first check up.
Tuesday I was back at work.

Re: Leaving the house... :S
I felt good the day I come home from hospital, went to my mums to pick my lil boy up and then went home. Next day I went and did week shop with my oh at asda,, didn't lift anything and oh did all packing and unpacking. Just walked about basically. The next day I went for a walk into town. So basically I never stayed in the house, I hate when my husbands off and we just stay in I like to be up and out so the first week I was out every day. And now I'm 3 weeks post op I'm back to my usual routine, did so from week 1 when husband returned to work. I healed pretty well though and had no pain and so only took painkillers for first 3 days.I think it depends how you feel.Xxx
