How long does the pain last??
Hi girls,
I had 275 cc unders on 12th May and am still in so much pain :( I'm restricted to sitting/lying down all day as it hurts to do anything. Can anyone who had unders tell me how long it took them to recover? I'm just worried it's going to last forever!

It feels like it's gna last forever but you will get back to normal quicker than you think. I had overs so prob wasn't in as much pain but my friend had overs and hers was around the same recovery as mine. I started to feel a bit normal again at around 2/3 weeks xx

Re: How long does the pain last??
hi,
I had 300c unders on the 1st may and I found the worse pain to be the first 4 days, everyone is different but I found it so so painful. Im 14 days post op now and still quite sore and painful in the morning but nothing like it was, its bearable now. So for me it was about a week until I started to feel better.
Hang in there it does get better honey.

Re: How long does the pain last??
The soreness takes a while to go completely but the worse of the pain should go in the first few days, the first 3 to 5 days tend do be the worse, so hang in there another couple of days and you will start to feel much better very quickly! I didn't have so much pain but also couldn't move properly for the first week. If it's so unbearable make sure you are on top of your medication: take your painkillers regularly hun!

Thanks guys. I just feel so helpless sat here doing nothing! Also, did anyone have problems breathing properly? If I take a full breath then I get a sharp pain in my boobs. Is this normal?

Re: How long does the pain last??
I can't really help to much with the pain side as thankfully I just seemed to ache, but I found that my body felt more itself by about day 5 although day 9 was a real turning point at which I felt totally normal again. Keep on top of your painkillers and gets lots of rest and hopefully you'll be feeling better soon xx

Re: How long does the pain last??
Hi,
I had 265 unders on 20th April - days 4&5 were the worst for me - I had a real burning pain in my right one which felt like mastitis and was scared to move my arm - also kept getting pins and needs down my arm! By about day 9 the pain eased off. I am about 24 days post op now and feel mostly normal although still stiff and if I sneeze if feels like I am going to break something lol! Hope you are feeling better soon.

Re: How long does the pain last??
First few days the worse but can take up to six weeks before you feel back to normal. Also we tend to tense the body up which makes things much worse.. walking around should ease things up. I used a 'Wheatbag' aromathearapy popped in micro and on to shoulders to relax the muscles and ease tension. This then enables (should) to walk and hold yourself less stressed and feel soo much better, which should then slow your breathing if you are less stressed. Then much easier to manage any niggles. Good Luck you are not alone

Re: How long does the pain last??
Hi.hun, congrats :)
I had some serious pain, I had unders, I couldn't sit up on my own, couldn't sleep,
Couldn't pour a drink, NOTHING! I had burning, twinges, squeaking, the lot. Its week 3 now and I feel
Almost completely normal, I can do my hair and drive and I've been going to the gym :)
They're even softening up nicely, now all I have is the restriction of stretching and rrunning,
To sneeze really hurt for a while but its fine now... Keep positive :) it gets better so so fast.

Re: How long does the pain last??
Hi, I had 265 unders on 18th April and the first week, it was awkward to move about as I felt like I couldn't stand straight properly as your chest is so tight but I found the move I moved around the easier it was - I have a family so was impossible to sit down too much anyway. Could not flush the loo properly or open my back door handle or put water in the kettle etc but day 6 and 7 is definately better. It is very much easier after that first inital week and about day 10 I didnt feel like they were so foreign either when I got up in the morning. That freaked me out a bit for the first 6 or 7 days as it is the strangest feeling getting out of bed isn't it. Are you sleeping on your back too which is important. Don't hesitate to take pain killers if you need to - i also had the odd sharp pain which is normal they say here - people are very supportive and will give you excellent advice. I drove after a week. I am suprised that someone is already at the gym in week ?! Good luck and as each day goes by it certainly becomes more normal. :) :)

Re: How long does the pain last??
My pain was nothing in the region of what you're experencing as I had overs. I do know it (the tenderness on my part) gets you down & you can't see it ever going away but one day you'll go somewhere & think "oh my god, i've not felt any tenderness in my boobs for xxx minutes, they finally feel like me"
It's a great feeling when it happens & I'm sure it's not that long away for you.

Re: How long does the pain last??
Hey hun, everything your explaining is totally normal, i had 255cc unders and i was in soooo much pain for what felt like ages, it took me up to 4 weeks to feel "normal" again. Everyone is different, people toldme their pain went after a week or so and i was thinking, "what have i done wrong" cos i was bad for ages, lol. Everyday gets better and by a few weeks you'll be well on your way to recovery. Congrats on your newbies!!!! Rest up and take care, xxx
