Surgery tonight...
Hi Girls,
Not been around for a while, had a nightmare with work and stuff but thats another story!
I'm going in for my op tonight to correct the slight bottoming out that I have experienced,
I am going to be awake through the procedure and will only be numbed while my surgeon removes a section of skin from under each of my boobs and then re stitches me, this should hopefully rectify the nipple wonkiness and the slight bottoming out.
I have expressed my concerns with my surgeon and have told him in no uncertain terms that I am not happy with the way my boobs look. I have now developed a crease in both breasts that has been confirmed as slight bottoming out. I have told the surgeon how I am not happy to show my boobs to anyone and that I feel worse about them now than I did before - Ok so I might have exagerated a little bit but I don't want him thinking that I am happy with them because he might not be as keen to get them perfect for me.
The first plan is to remove a section of skin from under each boob - if this doesn't work we will go back to the drawing board - He has suggested that I might need to switch from unders to overs now that my skin has stretched and will accomodate the implants but I will have rippling and the implant will probably be very visable - or I have to have smaller implants which I really don't want.
I do actually love my boobs while I'm in clothes its only when they are naked that I get a bit worried about them, I'm still wearing sports bras and non wired bras too - I do have a few underwired bras but don't find them comfy to wear at all.
Now I need to get my backside in gear and catch up on what all you lovelies have been up to - I've missed you all x x x

Re: Surgery tonight...
Thanks for the good luck!
Well it all started when I noticed one of my nipples sitting higher than the other - So I arranged a meeting with my surgeon - he told me nothing to worry about and they are still swollen etc
Went back after 3 months and there is a visable line across my boob - a couple of cms under my nipple - it is my natural breast tissue showing a ridge on top of the implant.
My surgeon did say it would settle down itself but then I noticed that the other boob was doing the same and he confirmed that it was slight bottoming out that he could correct - He admitted it was because he had made the pockets for my implants too big.
I'm actually really scared about tonight - but at least I'm only going to have minimal pain for the next few days and I'm not going to have to go through the pain that I had with the initial op.

Tracy - hope you are feeling better this morning. x
am having a re-do on 21st (next Tuesday - eeek) cos of a slight prob I have too. Going to be asleep tho cos having another surgery at the same same. Think you are VERY brave to have yours done whilst awake - was that your choice?
Do you know yet if this procedure you've had has sorted the prob? or do you have to wait for swelling to go etc? Hope it has and you dont have to go back to square one.
sorry - questions questions questions! are you at home now then too?

Re: Surgery tonight...
Hi girls,
Right my operation story:
I got to the hospital at 7:30 and as usual he was running late due to the amount of pip patients he had to see
I went into the little theatre room at 8:15 - luckily I got chatting to a lovely girl in the waiting room so it eased my nerves,
I had to strip off and he marked me up similar to the original marks on my day of surgery, then he told me to lay down and he was going to inject me,
Seriously girls this was the worst feeling ever and I actually cried with the pain, it felt like someone was shoving red hot needles right through me,
After 5 mins he tested me to see if I was numb - nope could still feel everything, so more of the horrid injections, wait another 5 mins and still not numb so another round of jabs - this time they weren't so bad though
Then he starts with the first incision - didn't hurt but I was aware of the tugging and the cutting and could almost hear the skin ripping, then for the stitches, a lot of tugging and weird noises.
The stitching took longer than the cutting and all the time from the stitching I could feel liquid running down my ribs -I knew it was blood but had to pretend it wasn't, then for the other side, this was much easier and took half the time.
I forgot to ask if the results would be immediate but I have emailed him to ask as I also had a bit of bleeding from one side but this seems to have settled now,
So if I'm supposed to see the results straight away then I can tell that righty looks much better but lefty still looks a bit sorry for itself, I have to make sure I wear the best sports bra I have for the next 10 days to ensure no pressure of the implant is pressing on the fresh incisions,
Fingers crossed that this works and I can start to enjoy my new boobies,
Thanks for all the well wishes girls, I'm now off for a little walk to get some fresh air and then I'm coming home to lay on the sofa all day.
I have to take it easy for 2 weeks and no showers/baths again.
Also he has given me a prescription for antibiotics and pain killers but he has written it on a piece of headed paper - anyone know if this will be treated as a normal prescription? I've never heard of this before,

Re: Surgery tonight...
Oooh Tracy - Im glad that you say righty looks better already and fingers crossed lefty catches up.
Not surprised you cried with the jabs - was it your decision to be awake when it was done or his? I know I would have cried too, Im guessing there was a screen up so you couldnt see? but hearing is pretty scary too.
Hope you enjoyed your walk and good for you on the sofa plan.
Cant help about the presciption note - do they have an in-house pharmacy where you went? were you meant to take it to them direct?

Re: Surgery tonight...
I suffered quite badly with the general last time and so the surgeon suggested the local as it would be a quicker recovery for me,
I didn't think about how painful the jabs would be and I didnt realise that I would be in a load of pain when the numbness wore off at 4 am this morning,
I'm doing ok now though and haven't needed any painkillers since 4 but I'm just starting to get sore now,
He told me to take the prescription to a normal pharmacy as the hospital one was closed last night when I left at 9:30
