Got the all clear tonight!
Saw my surgeon tonight, and it couldn't have gone any better!
He was so pleased with his handy work he asked if he could use my photos in future consultations, and asked if I would go back when they are a year old so he can take another photo of my final result! He actually seemed genuinely impressed lol.
So, I can basically do what I want now, he said to listen to my body and not to go straight out and run a marathon (I assured him running wasn't my forte haha) and to wear a sports bra as often as I could (overnight is fine) as I do have some swelling still. I need to start massaging my scars with bio oil (Eeek) and keep them out of the sun for a year at least. I can start swimming again too, but again to take it steady at first. I can wear wired bras when I feel I'm ready to also I think I will give that a couple more weeks or so though, I'm in no rush just yet and I don't think they are ready for wires just yet anyway.
So thats me a happy lady anyway, hope things continue to go well after my rather shaky start, there was a few tears and a lot of ups and downs but I'm happy to say it's been worth every second. There's still quite a bit of recovering to go, but every day is getting better and I'm so excited for my boobie future!
Oh and I saw my before photos for the first time, that just confirmed how glad I was I'd been brave enough to do this!! They looked worse than I remembered

Ahh excellent, and I, not surprised he wants to show off his handy work, they are great, with clearvage to die for!
It's mad how long it takes to recover though, I must admit even though iv been on here reading lots, I can't believe how yuk I feel, and you saying there you still feel like your recovering too. ..its a hard slog.
I'm super happy you can say it's all been worth it though, and your feeling good, I bet shopping will be so much fun now.
Congrats again lovey,

Hooray, that's great news!
Just to note, you don't need to use bio oil, any moisturiser will do, it's more for lubricant. Some girls don't get on with massaging their scars, and that's fine too. Made me feel so nauseaus to do it, and my scars are fine and invisible.

Re: Got the all clear tonight!
Yayyy! Ahh I have my 'sign off' appointment in two weeks. I cant wait to finally get these sports bra's off, I cant bear them any longer! I'm a bit apprehensive about going into wires too and I'm a little further on in the process than you too! Amazing that he wants to use you as an example!! Bet that felt amazing :) !!
Interesting about the taking it steady swimming, I'm wanting to swim on my hol in a few weeks. Good job my idea of swimming is head above water, slow and steady wins the race haha!!
I had a look at my before photo's the other day too. SO WEIRD. I almost don't recognize the girl in the pics! They look literally NON existent, I almost got a bit upset thinking 'I cant believe I went around in a B cup bra when all I had was them pathetic bee stings!'
I've still got loades of changes to come too, but I reckon this time in 6-12 months I'll be on cloud 9 with them! :)
Yayy for boobies! xxxx

Re: Got the all clear tonight!
Thanks for your lovely comments everyone, I'm so pleased
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] I'm gonna give it a go and see how it goes, I've got some bio oil anyway so at least I don't have to go buy some especially. Thanks, it's good to know if I feel uncomfortable doing it that it's not actually vital - phew.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] That's my idea of swimming too.... I think he thought I was going to attempt Olympic type swimming..... Er, no..... More like a few lengths then cling to the side for about 10 minutes gossiping, then repeat haha! I need to find a cozzy to wear first anyway... Don't think I'm brave enough to wear a bikini at the local pool just yet. I've not worn an actual swimming cozzy since school as they just made me look flatter than the walls so I'd always wear padded bikinis.... Now I'm worried about the opposite haha!!
