I'm so down again tonight :(
I can't believe i'm still weeping old blood from an open hole in my scar and i'm 2 months post op :(
I'm still wearing dressings and can't even bath, i can only shower and have to wash my hair leaning over the bath instead of in the shower & it kills my back!
I am so fed up with it.
My
surgeon sent me an appt via email and gave me the 31st Jan as an appt day in London and I went there only to be told he was there
the day before so I missed him and now wont see anyone for at least a
month/6 wks :pale:
I
really don't like how i'm looking and my surgeon says pop over to see
me in Belgium, I can't just nip over there that easily and by the time
i organised it he would be due in London anyway!
I'm a bit depressed with it again tonight
xx

Oh hun. I really feel for you. I know it might be more expense but 6 weeks is a long time if something's wrong. I would be tempted to go and see another surgeon and see if s/he can fix it as it doesn't sound right and could get worse if left.
I know so many women have fantastic experiences/results with surgery abroad but I guess this is the one real downside...that they're not around to give the aftercare that some need.
Hope it gets sorted

You've been through so much and been so brave... it's only natural that you have your "down" days. I'm shocked that your surgeon emailed you the wrong date and that you didn't get to see him. I hope that you can get to see someone who can help you or at the very least put your mind at rest a little. Stay strong. xxx

Re: I'm so down again tonight :(
Hey lovely,
If you're worried I'd see your GP. They're not going to refuse to see you, if you need meds to fight off an infection it's best you get them now.
As an aside, my right scar didn't fully close up until about a month PO. I had a small hole in it, it looked like it was healed underneath but still was open. So I think it may take a little longer for it to heal.
I hope you're feeing better today, things always seem worse at night!

At 2 months PO you should be enjoying your boobs and watching them change, don't go through the stress hun get onto your GP and they may be able to get an NHS surgeon to check if everythings OK at least. Has your surgeon just put it down to healing or will you need a re-op?
Big hugs! xx

Re: I'm so down again tonight :(
Thanks for your messages girls, it does help lift my spirits a bit.
The surgeon has said 6-12 months to heal fully and wont even consider scar revision until after 12 months so i'm just left like this until then, he also said i just have to keep dressing the scar until it heals fully, i'm going to make an appointment with my GP and let him have a look and see what he says about it.
I felt so crap about them that I bought 2 La Senza bra's today and am pleased to say they are a 34E! Just an ugly troublesome set of 34E's!!!!!! x

Re: I'm so down again tonight :(
Thanks girls i'll let you know how it goes.
Just had a shower again and it's horrible because the muck runs down me as i get out so i get back in to clean myself again and have to get the dressing on so quick or it's all over the place, i've ruined so many bra's, tops, towels etc it's getting beyond a joke & surely this hole should at least be beginning to get smaller??? or stopped leaking fluid as much as it does?? I was just examining my Boob is still blue underneath and also has the last stitch in place right near the hole, What a joke after 2 months!!
such a p**s-off every day.... :x
I wish this "beast" would go away & let me have my "breast" back!
Sorry for moaning every-one xx

Re: I'm so down again tonight :(
I've been to the GP he is so good to me, he removed that last stubborn stitch
that was near the hole in my scar and he's taken a swab to send off for
tests which should be back next week.
He's also booked me in on the 17th for minor surgery because it is a
blood clot that's bulging throught the hole in the scar which is
weeping & preventing it's closure so this needs to be dealt with, it is also this that's causing the blueness as it's just sitting there. Fingers crossed it's not become infected again.
I'm a bit P-off with my Surgeon as it should be him dealing with it but
he says i'm to give it 6 months so i would have been left like this had
I not gone to my GP
On a good note i'm not on anti-biotics yet so can celebrate my birthday after all this weekend!!
thanks girls & wish you all a great weekend xx
