seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
so heading to see my surgeon tonight as he wants to see me to discuss the fact hes moving to Manchester
Im not angry tbh cause we are all offered opportunities and need to jump at them so i can understand where hes coming from, im just so worried and getting upset that hes going to be so far away, 4 and a half hours there and 4 and a half hours back.
We are in the middle of "sorting" my high implants he wanted 3 weeks of light massaging and see what happens and he is heading back up to Glasgow to see me in 2 weeks again to see whats what but after that if i want to see him or need further treatment hes in Manchester
So dont really know what to say tonight or whats going to be said etc just worried really :(
Right now I wish i hadnt spent all that money on my boobs as my journey has been a bit crap!!
Plus i feel like a right moan on here whinging all the time lol xx

Sorry Tink, I can't help you but I didn't want to read and run...
I hope it goes ok tonight- he is a professional so I'm sure he will handle it in a professional way...
I'm sure there will be loads of others on here who can sympathise with stubborn implants, and who will be able to tell you it will get better!
On the plus side you seem to have such tight skin that your boobies will probably stay pert forever?! :flowers:

Aw sorry to hear you sound so down. I can't really comment on your journey as I haven't been through it yet. I'd wait and see what your surgeon has to say if I was you sometimes things aren't always as bad as we think. As for feeling a right moan I get the impression all on here are very supportive so chin up honey things can only get better, I hope your visit is a success xxx

I'm sure your surgeon won't leave you high and dry and on your own, he sounds like he is a lovely man, and will do all he can to help you. What has he said will be the next corse of action if the massage doesn't work??

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
Lisa , think that its compression band for a bit and if that fails a re op to lower the implant, but even after seeing him in 2 weeks id then need to head to Manchester to check if the band worked if the massaging doesnt
just with having the 2 girls and peter and i work etc it would be a nightmare getting to Manchester etc
Think im getting myself worked up but since he called me on Tuesday i havent really slept and been really weepy xx

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
Maybe you could use your check ups in Manchester as an excuse to have a nice evening out somewhere different, maybe go to the theatre or a nice restaurant, and then spend the night in a lovely hotel and relax! ( or use it for a girlie spa weekend maybe) x especially as you spent so long finding your surgeon, x

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
Firstly Tink you're NOT a moaner babe.
Secondly, you WILL get this sorted out babe so stay positive.
If surgical intervention is the next step and you have to travel to Manchester to have the surgery, yes, its a pain the backside for you to have to sort the kids out for a couple of days, yes, its a pain in the backside for you to have to sort a hotel out for the night, yes, this is the last thing you expected when you had this surgery... But can it be done - YES!
Keep your chin up babe. You'll do what you need to do to get this sorted hun and although having your surgeon move to the other end of the country is hard, its not the worst news babe.
What you could suggest if surgical intervention is suggested is that you have your surgeon do the surgery needed, but you could ask that you have one of your surgeons colleagues take over the check-ups for you, so you don't have to travel that far for your recovery babe.
If there's any problems you might be concerned about your surgeon would be an email away hun, so you can sort something out to suit yourself gorgeous.
Hopefully your surgeon will commit to a plan tonight to get your boobs heading in the right direction babe.
We'll be thinking of you and please let us know how you get on. Xx

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
yeah i would prob end up flying on my own and hopefully be ok IF it comes to that
I think its also on the back of my mind that some of my family esp my mum and aunt told me not to do it so cant even ask my mum for help with the kids cause she will be like oh told you so blah blah blah
then I feel terrible and ungrateful to Peter cause he went and made all my appointments with surgeons etc then paid for my surgery then was amazing at helping out with the kids/house and never let me lift a finger
Heres hoping something is put in place tonight
thanks girlies xx

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
Hi Tink. Sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time with your boobs. We all want everything to run smoothly after our op and it seems so unfair that sometimes it doesn't happen that way. However from the sound of it your surgeon is keen to sort this out as well. I know that his move to Manchester complicates thing even further (and seems doubly unfair) but at the moment I suspect that it gets you down and our families pick up on it. I am sure everyone wants you to be happy and so if that means a little more inconvenience in order to get a happy Tinkerbell I am sure that would rather have that.
Am sure that you will feel much better once you have spoken to your surgeon tonight. Sending you a hug

I totally understand where you're coming from with this hun, 'cos my parents and sister are none the wiser to any further surgery I had for the very same reasons.
I'm lucky however that my children are grown and able to care for themselves so I could just my re-ops within my own little family (hubby and kids).
If needs be for you though Tink and it seems you have no option but to ask for help as hard as it might be hun then you may have to tell your mum. With you having small children you're in a different situation than myself, so if you do get any reprisals from your family then you know we'll all be here for you and anything said will be just words hun
then I feel terrible and ungrateful to Peter cause he went and made all my appointments with surgeons etc then paid for my surgery then was amazing at helping out with the kids/house and never let me lift a finger
Your husband sounds like such an amazing man and he will still only want the best for you no matter what it takes Tink, so for all he's already done, doing more will mean nothing to him when he's doing for the woman he loves, so don't you be worrying hun. Xx
Heres hoping something is put in place tonight xx
you get everything sorted tonight hun. Xx
Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
Hi all
So back from my very long meeting with Mr Ray and do I feel better yes, 100% no
Concerning the height of the implants he took some more measurements and they are moving in the right direction and he says I just need to be patient and like he has told me before Im going to be one of the unlucky ones (in my eyes lucky in his as i have good skin and muscle) that has to wait that bit longer for my results but he said I WILL get there. He said to still go with a light massage every other day as he really doesnt like to massage textured implants and that he is trying to avoid the compression band as he doesnt like to use them.
Ive to give it another 2 weeks and he is back up seeing some other patients and see him then, he has been honest and says he doesnt expect them to have changed that much, but wants to see me to measure again and make sure they are still moving
As for the fact that he is moving he has decided until the end of the year to still come up every 8 weeks and work a week, only seeing patients he has done surgery on, but any surgery will need to take place down in Manchester, im sure he said its something to do with medical insurance, his own?
He is moving to go back to another area which he loves and is very good at and that is cleft palates especially in babies and infants, doing some NHS work along with some private work, I think he mentioned Oakfield hospital.
So all in all he has been very honest and he would not let me go about with work he has done if he wasnt 100% happy that things are heading in the right direction.
I got dead tearful at one point and the poor man didnt know what to do lol
Cookie you are right Peter is just amazing and he adores me (big headed I may sound lol ) but he does and im a very very lucky girl, and he is so understandable as he says he loves my new boobs but would love me just the same with none, hes a boobie man lol, but he knows I had my BA to help ME and not anyone else so he understands that anyone else saying they are great makes no diff until I am happy with them
But honestly girls thank you all SO SO much for taking the time to listen to me and reply xx

Re: seeing surgeon tonight and I could cry
yeah hun you should be happy that you have such an amazing surgeon!! I know you're frustrated with the speed your implants are dropping but there's no denying that they look good, great shape etc and are otherwise perfect! The fact that your surgeon has called you personally to say he's moving, then invited you in to speak in more detail AND is still being committed to you & other patients by continuing to give you aftercare in glasgow until the end of the year... thats really something impressive tbh. keep your chin up babe, you're in good hands and as the others have said you'll be having the last laugh 10 years down the line when yours are still super perky!! xx

yip he has really proved himself as a great surgeon, and if I really needed to see him to know that the most I need to wait is 8 weeks then thats nothing really
He said the same I should be grateful for my super skin, as he called it and I will get longer out them if I look after them lol, well thats the way it should work bit he said gravity is a horrible thing lol xx

It sounds like its all working out Tink if he will be up to you every 8 weeks, and he sounds so considerate and conscientious, so you have great care in place and are being looked after which is the best thing. xx
