6 weeks post op -questions? Empty 6 weeks post op -questions?

Post by gillmoo 11th February 2012, 10:56 am

I can't believe that on Tuesday I'll be six weeks post op, its gone so fast!

Just wondering ladies, will I be ok to start using my lovely perfumed shower gels I got for Christmas now instead of these fragrance free, colour free things I've been using? And can I use them on my scars?

Also I think I can start using the bio oil now, do I just rub it into my scars or all over my boobs?

God I sound so ignorant.... but I have to wait another two weeks for my post op check up so I know you lovely lot will advise me 6 weeks post op -questions? 267328 xxx

I used normal stuff from about 3 weeks, but didn't rub directly on the scars xx at 5 weeks though I would say you are fine as long as completely sealed xx

As far as bio oil went, I waited till Mr Martin said it was okay at about 6 / 7 weeks xx again as long as you are all sealed though I would say it's okay xx you may want to check on Monday with a quick phone call shrug xx

I just put a little bit on my fingertips and then rub it in in small circles all over the scar shrug think that's about it xx

I'm 3 weeks post op and have been using normal shower gels but making sure plenty of clean water washes over the scars before I get out.

I have been using bio oil all over my boobs since 2 weeks as I was starting to see the beginning of stretchmarks.

I've been using moisturiser and bubble bath since Monday when I had my follow up appointment with surgeon. Trying to persevere with bio oil all over my boobs but it makes my skin a bit spotty. X

I've used fragranced stuff since I started showering properly again, I was never told not too.

My nurse said put bio oil on the scars from 3 weeks twice a day, I put it all over once a day too. I have stretch marks from my old big boobs dont want anymore from my new ones!!
