Referral Letter
I've had a letter this morning from Spire confiming my consultation next Monday.
They have asked that I bring a referral letter from my Doctor when I go. Has anyone else had this before? Why would I need a letter, its not like its a medical issue?

Re: Referral Letter
They might do NHS patients so they would have a referral letter?

Re: Referral Letter
Hi, I went with spire Manchester and they never asked for a referral letter. They do deal with private healthcare patients though who receive referral letters so maybe they have their templates letters mixed up and sent you the wrong one. I doubt it's an issue. You don't need to be referred !! X

Re: Referral Letter
Maybe just give them a quick call, probably nothing to worry about.

Re: Referral Letter
When I was at the initial stages of phoning round getting consultations etc I made a call direct to a private hospital and the woman on the phone spoke to me like I was a silly little girl and told me I had to first go to my doctor for a letter of referral too! I came off the phone thinking mmm weird, I had the cash there to pay for it and it's nowt to do with my doctor, so I gave them a miss!
I reckon she just assumed that anyone calling directly and not via a cosmetic group they must be wanting it done on NHS. Wrong to assume though!
They don't have my business! Lol xxx

Re: Referral Letter
Oh good, that must be such a relief. I was going to say, when I had my BA with THG, I didn't need anything from my Docs, no pre op appointment....nothing! Just turned up on the day of the op and they took blood pressure, weight, urine sample and that was it! xxx
