Pre-op appointment - done!
Hi All,
Had my pre-op appointment yesterday. Its all getting very real now!!
The hospital is about an hour away and not too hard to find. The nurse weighed me and swabbed my armpits, i presume this was for MRSA. She then attempted to take blood from my right arm and missed the vein - ouch! So i let her try the left one and she got it, thankfully. Then i had to give her a urine sample. Trying to pee into that tiny cup was a little traumatic for someone with OCD like mine. Lets just say i washed my hands a couple of times after!
She then said no jewellery, make up or nail varnish on the day of the op. And, after buying a selection of bras she said they'll provide one that i'll need to wear for a week anyway!!
I haven't heard anything about the tests they run on my fluids so i presume they were ok. So all set for 7th Feb - SCARY!!!!! Kind of exciting too tho.

How long did it take you guys to get a surgery date after you decided which surgeon/company to go with? Good luck to you both!! I have to wait until May to have mine done since I'm abroad. Soooo impatient! xx

Ouch! I wouldn't have expected a bill like that! I think mines all included?
I've got my pre-op on the 10th, 5 days - will see how real all this feels after that! Lol!
When's your surgery?
