Re: March buddies
So you're next Flourella?
Hlt is Thursday!
I'm next Saturday. The ticker's not going down fast enough, but I'm in a mood to moan, because today was my original date, I'm meant to be on my way to London right now. Then it got changed to next Friday, then Saturday 31 I'm not excited, I will only be once I'm in the hospital seconds intil my op I think, it's only then that I will be convinced it's happening.

Re: March buddies
Hi Flourella and Roxanne you are next girls!! Do you have any questions? Any curiosities? Feel free to PM me if you prefer.
Roxanne, I know how it feels when they postpone. In my case, I had to postpone because my dad had planned a skiing holiday for the whole family and I couldn't say no, and the next possibility was after three months! I was sooo upset. One week will pass very quickly, I promise (I can't believe that I'm one week post-op already). If you read backwards, you will notice that I used to write the same things as you i.e. I had no excitement (not even on the eve of surgery day) because I waited far too long. I believe you!!!

Hi Girls!
I'm home :)
Sorry I didn't post sooner, i was going to log on last night but i fell asleep!
I'm planning on doingmy BA story later today or tomorrow, but apart from the wait (I didn't go to theatre til 6.30pm!) i had a wonderful experience.
Roxanne, don't worry at all. I don't think I felt excited until i woke up and had a peek!! It all just felt surreal. But they're here now and they're wonderful. I <3 my body - they don't hurt at all (so far!)
xx

Welcome gemsie and misslils!! Gemsie-yes i think it is perfectly normal.... I am a little swollen in between my boobies still x happy healing!!
Misslils-what a trauma you have had!!! I hope all goes well with your reop xxx
Roxanne.... I personally wouldnt buy 2 Macom bras... I've got one which I lived in until a couple of days ago...then decided to try a normal sports bra from asda and the material was much softer...ok-the support is different And I will prob wear mine at night but I think its normal sports bras for me in the day....but my nips are hyper sensitive and The macom seems built to be a bit tighter round the top to keep the implant lower... Personal preference xxx

Welcome gemsie and missiles
Missiles, do you mind me asking about you rupture? Did you have these for a very long time, or just recently? You must be looking forward to getting you new boobs!
Thanks for letting me know Nepoly. I plan on having these as my sleeping bras once I move around more and start to exercise again, and them being my staple at first. I machine wash everything and like to have the option of having two. Plus I need to wear a bra for three months because I'm getting an uplift. We'll see, I haven't bought anything yet.
Xaxa, I can see why you lost all excitement. I'm way passed it now. Thing is I'd been thinking of doing this since I decided we didn't want anymore kids. I went to a cosmetic surgery open house at my local Nuffield in October 2010. Didn't book a consult with PS I wanted to see until March 2011. Then it was cancelled twice due to his wife having a baby. I didn't have my actual consult until July. Then I wanted to see other ps's. I got a consult with Withey in October. Then another in December, but he felt I needed another consult, so had to wait until February for another. I booked my op date first week of January and I'm here still waiting, I wanted early/mid March but got the very last day instead. Yeah, the excitement's all gone now. I wouldn't have said no to a skiing holiday though, I totally miss it! xxx

Re: March buddies
You're organised!
No, I only bought antibac soap, and big pants for mini tt. I'll buy a couple of sports bras Monday, and new slippers. I've got facial/babywipes and dry shampoo already since I always have these in the house anyhow. I'll order one or two Macoms in the next week too, but I don't need a bra the first week xxx

Re: March buddies
Hi Roxanne,
For about 6 months i kept saying to my husband that my right implant looked and felt different seemed to have left my chest and disappeared round my arm, after examinin my breast one night in Feb i notice when i touched it my fingers went in like a sponge and left the marking od my fingers, i went straight to my gp who sent me to the hospital for a scan, my worst fear had come true it actually has no capsule on it! i would have had it taken out that week but was going to thailand so waited til i got home! the surgeon i originally saw messed me about about for two weeks while decideing what he could do then i was invited back to see two surgeons who decided neither could help due to scar tissue ans they didnt feel confident in getting it right, so my search started again found a surgeon at mya that seems to know what he is talking about....fingers crossed he does xx

Thanks for sharing misslils. How did you not have a capsule around it? When did you have your ba? Sorry I've got loads of questions. Better to see a surgeon who can sort things out for you

Re: March buddies
Welcome gemsie and missiles, I wish you good luck with your surgeries!!
Roxanne & HLT - there are some good checklists somewhere in the forum. Don't forget to prepare your 'recovery area' before leaving home as it will be very nice to find everything ready and within reach when you're back. The first thing you will hit is the WC and the bed/sofa. Put all your products, face creams, wipes, toilet paper, tootbrush, hand soap, towel where you reach them. Prepare a glass of water and a straw, plus ginger tea for nausea/sickness. I found the wooden spoon very useful to reach for things, to open the water tap or scratch my back She's my best friend now I even named her "Giulietta".

Hey. In less than 48 hours I'll be done (hopefully) I'm weird, going from total panic to feeling nothing at all...
I haven't bought any bras for afterwards! My surgeon said it's best to leave it to heal - what do you all think of this? Will the scar be weepy?
Arhg I just don't know what to expect! Is it a tight feeling? Will I be able to touch my face? Will I be able to go to the toilet and wipe myself?
I have NO IDEA what to expect.
Going to start my picture trail tonight arrrhgggg
xxxxxxx

Hi Roxanne,
I have no idea why there is no capsule i will prob find out on Tuesday all i can think is when its rupture its sort of turned itself inside out when it came out from under the muscle....not really sure just told its a sticky mess with no capsule!!
i fist had breast implants 10 years ago after having my last child, Mr Khan advised me i needed to have large implants to fill out my skin so they put in 480 nagors, after about 2 years they had come out of their pockets so needed to go back in for revison and sew some new pockets in!! a few years after they were so saggy mr khan replace them with huge implants but once again they sagged so i decided on a reduction/lift and a small implant 4 years ago, he put in a 3oo cc, 3 months later i needeed to go back in as he left me with dog tags/ears !! since then i have been happy with them until the rupture :-( still worring about the size Mya want to put in after having huge breasts years ago. not long to go now x

Flourella, I'm glad you've asked those questions. I've not a clue what to expect as everyone is different. I'm going to sort a few things out so they're in easy reach for me for afterwards but having a four year old she'll be into everything lol xx

Good luck for tomorrow flourella!
I think i've been lucky and am pretty pain free. I can brush my hair, and my teeth. I can't really bend forward to tie my shoe laces, but i can sit on the floor and reach forward to do it.
But you're having unders and i think they hurt more :s
There's a thread about 'i wish someone had told me...' which might be good to read. I didn't read it cos i didn't know it existed until afterwards!!

Re: March buddies
Hey Flourella!!! One more sleep!!!! You'll be fine....dont worry :D you will feel tight in your chest area and it will really ache when you move from laying ro sitting but as soon as you are sat up, it goes :) you should be able to touch your face, pretty much think of everything you can do if you were to keep your elbows in at your sides x regarding the toilet.... Depending on how you 'tend' to yourself it may be easier to wipe from the front only... The co codamol stuffed me up (sorry tmi!!) so this was no issue for me!! My scars werent weepy And were covered by a steri strip and then dressings so no bra will be fine :) you will be fine....promise xxxx get excited and enjoy the anticipation!! You'll soon have boobies!!! I had 320 anatomical unders, so nearly the same as you....i am now 13 days PO and I can drive short distances, I did some housework yesterday, I can do everything I need to except wash and dry my hair and put my arms above my head...so thats not too bad is it?? No morning boob and sleeping slightly on my side :D. Get Excited!!! Get Excited!!! Xx
