Re: all these implant warnings are making me nervous
Only the PIP implants have been withdrawn from the market, and yes it is scary. Which is why here at breast buddies we always recommend that you research everything before you go into surgery, research the surgeon, the clinic, the aftercare and the implants, these are extremely important. If you research your butt off you will be able to go into surgery with all your bases covered. With any surgery there are risks of complications of course, but at least you will know your aftercare should cover you and your implants are good and your surgeon is reputable.
Re: all these implant warnings are making me nervous
I know what you mean, this is one of the reasons why I've been going back and forth between uplift only or uplift with ba. Not to mention I'm originally from Canada and all my family and friends have saline, whereas I want silicone which is the norm here in the UK anyway.
Misg1 is right, do your research. The best implant brands on the market are Nagor, Allergan and Mentor. PIP was always known as a low quality implant, even before finding out they were using industrial silicone, they were already known as being inferior by many surgeons. xxx

Re: all these implant warnings are making me nervous
as roxanne said, PIPS have been known to be a rubbish implant from way before the news hit the headlines. MYBREAST refused to use them because of their high rupture rate. It was only ever an issue with some of the cheaper "conveyor belt" companies
