I do definately feel fobbed off as I was told i would get upper fullness and idont need a lift but clearly i do and the surgeons i have asked so far online have said i would of definately benefited from it, i am worried the hospital group surgeons will all agree with each other as working for the same company and will say i dont need a uplift, i will ring 2moz and arrange to see another surgeon, anyone think of the best one to ask to see? xx

I agree with everyone else hun. Def give THG a call & explain how you feel. Just through my own experience & also seeing AmyD's uplift , I would recommend either Mr Hassan or Mr Payne Hun . Good luck xxx

surgeon that advises on here has looked and said that a uplift would be beneficial but wants me to go to see him so he can say for sure, bit of a drive but maybe worth it to get a proper second opinion maybe

I would go through THG initially because you want to protest with them to get them to pay for it- or reduced rate. I don't think all THG will stick together- I think they'll give honest opinions because they work independently. E.g there are surgeons that wouldn't have gone over 350cc on me that I saw, and mr hassan said there's a few he knows who are set in their ways, yet he takes everyone indivuslly.
Just give them a call!!

What do you mean by internal bra? Is it the mesh type internal bra (sorry can't remember the name) or your own natural tissue?

You can have it fashioned out of your own tissue by using internal stitches or there is a mesh frame that can be placed inside to support the breast tissue xx

The mesh is quite big so it is usually used on bigger ladies WITHOUT implants and is still really in it's infancy being used here in the UK xx

I thought all uplifts used internal bra, ie. internal stitches to lift own tissue. Both PSs I've seen said this is what they do when they do an uplift. I gues some only lift the nipple instead?

I have contacted THG and they have **naughty word** me off absolutely refuse to let me see another surgeon, they said their surgeons wont check other surgeons work, they said my surgeon did his best he could for me and that is all they are prepared to say and do, i have had 2 opinions from surgeons who post on here and both have different opinions, so i basically give up, will learn to accept what i have as my boobs was really crap before this, and i have a much better end result than my start saggy boobs so if i ever go for another boob job then i can tell them this situation, i am not over angry but slightly disapointed, but at least i havent got the state of boobs i did have

A normal uplift involves removing skin then re draping of the breast tissue and then suturing so your skin acts like the hammock xx when they talk about internal stitches in order to make a hammock internally they basically stitch your own breast tissue to the chest wall on the inside to create a hammock and take the tension off your skin xx the mesh stuff is an implement they can put inside you in order to support your own tissue to give better shape and help the breast hold it's form xx

When they do a lift they (generally) don't physically move the nipple up, as in remove it and replace it higher, they remove the skin around and underneath the areola and nipple, then re drape the skin on the breast and then when they sew it all up the nipple and tissue inside the breast is re positioned and pushed higher due to the skin removal......if that makes sense xx

DM - based on what they have said I think I would be tempted to go to an independent PS, someone else at another company basically and see what they say in order to see whether or not you have grounds to make an official complaint xx I appreciate that the PS's on here have given you different opinions but that is without seeing you isn't it? I think to be accurate they would probably need to physically examine you I would of thought shrug I think you should go see someone and get a professional opinion and if turns out the recommendation is to do a lift then I would officially complain to THG and pursue it from there xx

Hope this helps hun xx I don't think you should just give up if you are not happy with the result you have xx

Yup, ditto all that Kay said!!
You need to get a 2nd opinion, you aren't happy and if THG aren't prepared to give you a 2nd opinion then get one from elsewhere.
If the 2nd opinion is at odds with your surgeons, and you want to take it further, then put in an official complaint hun.
I get the feeling you aren't going to be able to feel happy with your boobs until you've had a second opinion hun?

I think if you're not happy you should see other PS too, have a proper consultation for a second opinion. You will feel better about it if you seek out what other surgeons have to say to put your mind at ease. It will also give you the information you need if you file an official complaint. xxx
