I rang the company that Spire are offering their 0% finance with today to see about my loan.

Turns out the 0% is just for 10 months and you need to earn over £1k a month otherwise you need a guaranteur. They want £400 a month repayment.

No chance.

So am back to either bank loan or begging my dad

I begged my boyfriend, he gave in and put it on his credit card. My dad would have been the next victim if boyf said no.
£400 is so much money. Keep trying. I'm paying boyf £155 a month over 3 years on his 16.5% credit card. But i can pay more some months or less if needed

Hi Jemmy,

If you need to check the best rate for loans I wd recommend looking on [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] as the rates change quite often and that will show you the lowest rate.

Good luck

Have you thought about becoming a credit card 'tart'?

It works by opening a credit card that has 0% on purchases then when the 0% runs out just start again and open a new credit card that has 0% on balance tranfers, transferring the balance until you manage to pay it off.

There's some info here:

Thanks mum23boys, I did see something about that earlier. But am trying to do an assignment inbetween so didn't take much notice.

Will definately read up on it as it seems an option for me.
