Re: January Buddies
Steph oh my gosh! They're not actual incisions though are they? I guess not. But maybe from a bra rubbing on it without you noticing? Awwww doll im sure it's all fine but obviously a concern for you. I'd be the same. I'll be putting a diary of today up soon as soon as I can be bothered to get on my laptop. Can't believe they've actually been done. I LOVE this forum. Don't know what I'd have done without it!

Re: January Buddies
Sorry to hear that little miss. Im sure its gonna be ok if they didnt find a fault.
Thats the thing with these new additions. Just when you think your over the worst, they sure do let you know, by crippling you with sudden swelling and sharp pains.
It happens to me every morning. Ive got dissolvable stitches and the actual cut hurts so much, im absolutely petrified to take the dressing off come Sunday.
Hope all is well for you tmro.

Congratulations Lolita! You must be so happy!
Would they maybe have used clamps or something when you were out cold that resulted in the mystery cuts?

Re: January Buddies
Oh yeah!! Definately could be the clamps that hold the incision open. Or the retractor thingy. It's gotta be.

Re: January Buddies
The same nurse just called me finally and still doesnt know what they are, she said if im worried I can come in and she'll have another look but I've said im not worried and their healing fine but I just want to know why I have marks on my body? Conversation went around in circles and I basically dont see the point in me going in when she didnt know before and she still doesnt now, and all shes say is they look fine and are healing fine, which I already know!!!
ARGGGHHH finding it really annoying and I just dont like her as a nurse, seems to just deflect questions!
So still no answers, should just give up and forget because it isnt a problem I just want to know!

Re: January Buddies
I get you Steph. Its your right to know, I mean suppose it left permanent scarring. What their saying is no one is prepared to take responsibility for what has happened to you, while under GA in their care.
Wether they are healing or not is not the issue. These people are supposed to be running a reputable business and mishaps like this just deters cusomers away.
You sound very frustrated hun and rightly so. Honesly speaking if I was you I would not let it rest.
If you went to your doctor and said ive been doing this to myself, they would have you carted off to the nearest mental hospital, in a straight jacket.
You paid alot of money for a service to be provided to you. At this rate you would get better service from the NHS.
How dare they. Im actually **naughty word** off for you.
Sorry, just my opinion.

Re: January Buddies
I don't suppose you know any nurses? A theatre nurse might be able to tell you. I'd ask my mum, but as she doesn't know about my BA probably best not to (god, that's not much help, sorry). It'd drive me mad too, so I can see where you're coming from. Was it the nurse from Transform that you spoke to or one from the hospital (presuming that they're different)?

Hi I got on fine yesterday dressings off and stitches are dissolvable although i have taken a reaction to the waterproof dressings my skin is really red and some of the skin has split, not to bad though they gave me a spray to put on morning and night.
Boobies are looking fab and to go back in 6wks but any probs to give them a fone.

Re: January Buddies
Oh Steph! they look like cuts or scratches, if you don't get anywhere you might want to put something in writing and ask for a written response. They are less likely to be able to fob you off that way.
Hope everyone else is doing okay, I've been working away the last week so not been on here much.
Love

Re: January Buddies
So I went to THG today to Change my dressing and to ask them why I have a scar that has nothing to do with the incsions made to pocket the implant.
It seems your not alone Steph. The diference is mine is a scar, not a scratch. It will be there for life.
They had the cheek to extend the dressing to cover it up so I didnt know until last night, when I started to peel the dressing back form the side of my breast because it was irritating me so much.
I have to wait until 19/02 to see Mr Seno. Thats when he is back in the country.
THG said they dont know why its there and they cant answer my questions because they didnt operate on me. Mr Seno did.
This is going to be interesting...cant wait

Re: January Buddies
Hi everyone
Even though I joined this group late, I thought I'd post in case this helps anyone. If any of you are still taking pain meds and are 'bunged up', then along with gallons of water, please try Milk of Magnesia. Take 30ml every four hours until the problem is solved - no cramps, no pain. Success!
