First proper 10K since BA !!!
So ..... you've all heard me grumbling on recently about me being sad not to be able to run with the new knockers - well this morning I did my first proper 10K since the ba was done. I feel so much better
I have to admit I felt a bit scared at the start because my muscles felt tightened up when I started (like last time i tried) but having spoken to another lady on another site - a running one - who also had a ba - I am reassured that its normal for this tightening at the start of your run.
Im a bit scared to take off my running bra etc in case they drop off with it
Have just texted DF to let him know my run went well, I could hear him breathe a sigh of relief from the other end of the country cos Im such a nark when I cant run.
this is how I am feeling!
and this may well be me in a minute when I take the top off ... only they will roll off across the floor ... eeek I shouldnt joke about that!

Frumpy my ar** - you look amazing
Has to be said tho - if I feel like Im needing scaffolding to run with mine - you may well need something more with yours
Specially when I see such lovely pics (like yours) Im feeling that boob envy/greed Ive read about on here. But I had to choose to stay small(ish) so I could get away with having the ba done hopefully un-noticed by family .... I often look in the mirror and wonder about how I would have felt with a little bit more ... greedy cow arnt I

kat4, I'm only three weeks post op and was told I had to wait 6 before I did anything - it's driving me nuts!! Have been going for long walks, but it's not the same.
Glad you enjoyed your run and hope your boobs stayed on :heehee:

Well done Kat, I wish i had the stamina to do 10K! I really could do with doing something tho my belly seriously needs some toning.
I used to do yoga daily before my BA but i havent done any since op as i was told at least 4 weeks and cant wait to get back to it, but I think i would pass out with 10K runs, good on ya girl !! xxx

Well done Kat, that will be such a relief to know you can do it now, wow 10K. Bet you go to bed with a big smile on your face tonight.
At least I know about the tight muscle feeling now and will go with it when I get to the 6 week stage when I take up running again. XXX

funny I do that too ... mind you when I run outdoors I have two shock absorber bras on and a running vest with support so the stairs seem a little dangerous still

Re: First proper 10K since BA !!!
Thanks for your responses - its great this forum int it!
Fran - the first time I went and I had the bad tightness I was really scared that I was damaging something, it was particularly down the middle along the bone and it felt much too tight an pulling but its not so bad now - and knowing that its 'normal' makes me feel less mithered!
abbie - oh gawd yes - am so knackered a lot of the time but I think the less you do the less you feel like. When Im back to doing the same as before I hope that I have much more energy generally again. I definately feel so much more energy filled if Im doing more exercise. Softly softly tho I think - DEF dont want to overdo it and end up back to square one.
