Swimming, dancing and gym with unders
Ok was just wondering if any of you girls with unders can tell me how long before you went swimming? and did it feel weird
Whereas im not a gym freak i do like to go once or twice a week and just do crosstrainer, and i like to dance and swim, maybe not every single week but atleast once/twice a month
Are under the muscle going to be a problem with this, I read about someone who felt pain doing breaststroke up to 6 months after op
Has anyone had any problems with exercise?

Re: Swimming, dancing and gym with unders
I have had no problems with exercise, but I just walked until 6 weeks PO. Then I did regular cardio, and started swimming and kickboxing (actual boxing hitting the heavy bag) around 8 weeks. I have to wear 2 sportsbras to run, but I never had any pain lifting, boxing or swimming.....

I was told that I'm not allowed to do any exercise for 3 months - now I have to wait until 6 weeks after my next op, starting to feel like a lazy lump now! Can't wait to get back to exercise!

Im worried about this I do ciruits once a week ang gym 3 evenings. Im going to feel like a slug. I am on a strict health kick now up until the day! The problem with losing so much weight is living with the constant worry of putting it back on! I was told exercise bike possibly 2 weeks after xx

make the most of the time for having an excuse not to, i know what you mean though its a nice feeling being active, but atleast this is happening in the winter time so you will be all done and ready for summer

I totally know what you mean peggysue, I had lost about 25 lbs a couple of years ago and it's sliding back on, it's so hard to get back into the "groove" (sitting here eating a chocolate cookie as we speak aaaaaaaaa!!!) but at least maybe after the new year I'll kick it into high gear :)

Peggysue Used the exercise bike at 2 weeks and I was fine, between that and walking is probably all you will want to do at that stage. It at least gets you moving and socialising in the gym again. XXX

Re: Swimming, dancing and gym with unders
hey sorry to jump in peggysue, i found that rather than speedwalking, i jacked the treadmill up to a high incline, but walked a bit slower - because walking fast I tended to use my arms too much....
again - sorry peggysue and Fran for interrupting
