I did everything right and still got an infection, but thankfully it cleared up with a course of anti-bs. xx

hi there im really worried i hav an infection i hav a small opening on the scar and its leaking and smells a bit but i feel fine apart from it being uncomfortable , 3weeks post op

Hello debbie, I would get the wound checked out hun, if it smells that could be a sign of infection. Let us know how you get on. xx

Definitely get it checked out - if it's infection it's probably mild at this point and they'll be able to fix it with antibiotics. They also may want to close up the suture again.

Please call your hospital and let us know how you get on.

Been to clinic they said it doesnt look like or smell like infection but gave me antibiotics any way but its stil leaking x You canot help but worry im still sore aswell but im still only 3 weeks po, have to go back to clinic on thurs x

Hi there, its like a thin pinkish serus liquid coming out about a penny in size every 24 hours, i went back to docs togay ps said results came back and it said i have staph infection so he gave me a 3rd course of antibiotics and said he wont put a stitch in until it stops leaking, so i have had an open wound now 4 3 weeks getting a bit peed off , my leftie is like its always been there Have I got an infection? 62722 just wish it would heel cannot go bac to work yet cos im a fitness instructor and with this wound i cannot jump around x
