Hi there, I've my BA in two weeks time
I know some of the girls on here used arnica, but I'm not sure how long before their BA they took it for? And how many a day?
Many thanks!

Re: Arnica - when to take?
hi hun,
i've also been confused about this. Some of the girls are taking the arnica 30 one week before, some 2 weeks before and then a week after... but on my arnica instructions it says to use for no more than 7 days in total??
I'm confused too!!

Re: Arnica - when to take?
All surgeons advise different, i have been told no more than a week before and that i can start taking a few days before op and a few days after, i would have a word with the surgeon to see what he advises you.

Re: Arnica - when to take?
I took Arnica30 for a week before; only 2 in the morning and 2 at night. I am now 4 days post op and I'm now taking 6 a day. I do believe they have helped but will stop making altogether in the next few days xx

I forgot to take them pre op! But it's a week before and until the swelling subsides post op xx

Re: Arnica - when to take?
I'm going to ask my PS as they all seem to advise differently.

Arnica is a homeopathic remedy that works wonder for any shock that you or your body may have gone through i.e. BA!!

Re: Arnica - when to take?
Took mine for a week before and immediate week post BA. They seemed to have worked for me and I've used it before as I play contact sports and it helps with bruising! It's not everyone's cup of tea though.

Re: Arnica - when to take?
I was told not to take it as it can act as an anticoagulant and interfere with the healing
