I am not sure, maybe you would get a better response if you asked one of the surgeons on this site x

I wouldnt Know hun,

If I was you Id give your clinic a call and see what they say.........have you had your 1st app yet with the P.S as they take down you medical history so then is probably the best time to ask.

I don't think it would, a large percentage of the population carry the herpes virus in one form or another. x

I agree with GucciGucci - I think the only time it may cause a problem is if you had an outbreak at the time of surgery. Do you just take medication when it flares up? If so, no meds should be in your system providing you are clear before the op xxx

I am sure it wouldnt be a problem.
There is quite a distance between your boobs & that area!!
If you had a flare up at the time of the op, would prob be good to just let the ps know the meds you are taking.

I agree with the other girls - loads of people carry the virus in various forms. You have them give them your full medical history anyway, so as long as they know what they're working with, I don't see why it would cause a problem...

I don't see why it would be a problem either, hun. Like some of the other ladies I suffer terribly with cold sores and didn't even think to mention it on my medical notes!

Am sure the meds wouldn't interfere with the GA if that's what you are worrying about? Especially if it's topical medicine.

Maybe mention it to your GP or the surgeon and get their advice babe. x

I agree, don't think it should matter at all. Good luck with your surgery!
