Terrible back pain STILL! :(
Hello lovelies, I was wondering if you had any advice, I am now 3 weeks post ba and i'm not really having any pain in my breasts, but i've got terrible back pain all the time, especially when I wake up - it's excruciating. It's kind of like period pains in my lower back but 10x worse and has a sort of "dragging" sensation which is really odd. This won't be forever will it? :( I'm sleeping with loads of pillows to support me and a hot water bottle under that area, but nothing seems to be working! I'll be back at uni very soon and i'm so worried about the pain I might still have.
Thanks for your help - really don't know what i'd do without this forum, amazing! xoxo
P.S I would really like peoples opinions on the girls, am I still allowed to share my own pictures even though i'm a newbie? xx

Hi hun, I feel your pain!! I had terrible lower back pain for the first few weeks. In actual fact my back hurt way more than my boobs ever did! It should start to ease soon. Have you tried sleeping on your side instead of your back? Sorry im not much help, but in my experience it does gradually ease off.xx

Hi Sarah, I started sleeping on my side after 3 weeks but I found that my boobs hurt a bit from sleeping that way so went on my back half way through the night and then back on my side towards the morning, but this helped soooo much with the back pain.
I can assure you that your back pain will go away when you start sleeping on your side again.

No worries hun glad i could help. I saw the nurse 8 days after my op and he said i could start sleeping on my side from then on. I could have kissed him! lol. The night before i was in such a state with the pain i threw an almighty tantrum and launched my v-pillow across the room! The pain was horrendous. I couldnt sleep comfortably on my side for a couple of weeks but it was better than having to sleep on my back with a million pillows propping me up!
Give your clinic a ring and see what they say? I cant see why it'd be a problem hun.xx

Agreed - last night I alternated between my side and my back and the pain was SO MUCH better! Although it's really only while sleeping that it's very uncomfortable for me to be on my back all night!
good luck

Re: Terrible back pain STILL! :(
Hey - I had this too and I posted about it as well - it will be in here somewhere, it faded after week 4 ish ... It was awful though - my advice as a BA patient and as a Physio is - ice the centre lower back 2-3X a day for 20 mins and do light stretching exercises for the lower back , these can be googled, stretch before each Ice session,
Hope this helps xxxx
