Agony..
Hello!
I'm new here, i am currently 6 days post op with 460 unders and was just wondering if someone could give me some advice.
I haven't really had any pain so far, slight twinges but the painkillers have kept this under control. However, last night i woke up at about 3am and was in complete agony, luckily im staying with my mum, so shouted her, but i literally could not move, or even get myself sat up properly without this terrible burning/stabbing pain shooting through both my breasts, in the nipple area, it was so bad i was finding it hard to breathe. My mum eventually calmed me down and got me back to sleep and waking up this morning the pain has subsided, but now my left breast has gone completely numb, i can't even feel when i touch it, I'm a little bit worried about this and i'm not entirely sure if it's normal, the stabbing pain is still there when i move and it is agony.
I usually have quite a high pain threshold, which is why i'm finding this pain so bad.
If anyone could give me advice i'd really appreciate it!
xxxxx

Hey hun, im 9 post op and yesterday, i had really bad shooting pains, and i think this is the nerves knitting back. But if your really worried, ring the nurse, thats what there for? xxx

I just phoned the nurse there, and she pretty much said the same thing! I'm getting my stitches out on wednesday, so i think i'll ask then as well if it's still sore, hopefully it won't be! Thanks so much for getting back to me, just needed some peace of mind! xxxx

Aww hun it is a bit scarey when you get those shooting pains, but I'm sure Tasha is right and its just the nerves knitting back together. It's a good idea to mention it at your post op on Wednesday, but remember hun never suffer in silence, always ring up and get advice, thats what your ps is there for. Take care hun. xx

Hi hun
So sorry to hear your in so much pain. If the pain gets any worse give your PS a call, its better to get advice, even if he just sets your mind at rest. I hope the pain goes away for good hunni and you have a speedy recovery Lots of x

Re: Agony..
I agree - those shooting pains are weird, but I'm glad you called them, since that must have been pretty bad to wake you up!!
I get weird aches and pains too, so looking forward to 1 month or so from now when they'll be more settled.
For me, I have soreness in the sternum area still!
xx
